Ten On Tuesday!

OK I am going to try doing this again. It's a fun and easy way to keep caught up with our daily lives. It seems like once the girls started school, things have gotten crazy busy. I thought it would be the other way around but I was wrong!

1. DJ is so funny sometimes when we put him to bed. Once we do his bed time routine he's pretty good at staying in his bed. We'll hear him talk to himself and play with his cars. I've checked a few times and he makes "mountains" out of his blankets, which his cars have to climb to the top! So cute. One night I went to check on him and had to laugh at how he was sleeping. So I had to take a picture! Love my little boy, even though he's not so little any more!
Before I took the picture he did have his blanket tucked up to his chin. It took me a minute to find where his head was. His tiger is draped across his face! So cute!

2. The other day Abbi asked me, "Mom have you ever been in a glass ball storm before?" After I looked at her funny and asked what she meant she replied, "You know those round little glass balls that fall from the ski." Oooohhh......hail!! We all had a good laugh!!

3. Went horse back riding with my sister, Megan and DJ. It was so fun to ride around. DJ rode with me in the arena, and rode with his Aunt Megan outside a little. Then he went with Aunt Karen while Megan and I rode out in the field for a while. It was a blast and made me realize how much I enjoy riding. One day I'd love to get a horse of our own or maybe 2 or 3!!! A girl can dream right?!
Aunt Megan and DJ on Dude! Uncle Everett walking beside them. They were so nice to let us come ride their horses!

Megan riding! Looking good Megan!

4. Cadence + laughing gas + dentist = some really crazy (and a little funny) times! Oh, what am I going to do with that girl!! We tried really hard to get her baby tooth pulled. Her adult tooth is almost fully up behind the baby one. I told her she looks like a shark.....ummm wrong thing to say to Cadence. I thought she was going to freak....her eyes get really big. I quickly told her I was joking!
Cadence at the dentist. She's smiling now, but that didn't last long.....oh what a girl!

5. The kids love giving Macy treats. They put her doggy treat bag on the counter, it says Turkey Jerky on the bag. I was reading on the couch and Richard asks me, "Oh is this one of your healthy snacks?" I looked up and he took a big bite out of one of the doggy treats. I started laughing SO HARD and told him they were Macy's treats. He then proceeded to spit it across the room. Man it was so funny!!

6. Took my 4 cute kids into Walmart last Friday for pictures. It was a HUGE work out for me and the photographer. But we got some wicked cute pictures! I will do another post to share all the pictures. My kids are the cutest!! ha ha!
My very cute kids!

Cute idea for a picture, but it didn't work! Still makes me smile though!

My 3 gorgeous girls! Love them!
My handsome little DJ!

7. Last Tuesday we woke up to winter wonder land. We were all shocked with how much it had snowed. Crazy! Good thing I spent an hour Monday morning running around the yard cleaning everything up and getting ready for winter!

8. I've drove bus a few times the past couple of months. DJ loves to come with me, he thinks it's so fun. On this one bus there were 2 boys that DJ LOVED to play with. They all got a little wild, and he loved it. I dropped the 2 boys off and had a couple more stops. It was really quiet and I couldn't see DJ. Then I saw his feet sticking out in the aisle. The cute little boy crashed on the seat. It was too cute not to take a picture!
Aaahhh, so cute! He was sound asleep!
There he was zonked out! Goes to show how good of a driver I am!!! I was very careful going around corners and braking, he didn't move from that spot!!

9. DJ's birthday is coming up fast. I was thinking ahead and ordered his gift early. Went to pick it up yesterday in Cutbank only to find out that they sent it back to the warehouse. I figured it all out and it is on it's way again! He's going to be super excited! We ask him what he wants and replies, "Me want a big geen tactor with tailer (green tractor with trailer)." He found a picture in a magazine over a month ago of a pedal tractor with a trailer and he cut it out and has carried it everywhere. Luckily I found one on line for an amazing deal.

10. Halloween tomorrow. The kids are super excited about getting dressed up for school. I will pick them up for lunch and feed them and get them dressed for the afternoon. Then DJ and I will go back to the school for the Halloween Parade. Should be a fun day!

11. Just thought of one more. Reading with our three little girls has gone pretty good. I was really worried about it and dreading reading with my girls. They are doing awesome. They are all at different levels and it's fun to spend time with each of them. It's fun to see how excited they get over learning new words. They are always reading different signs to me as we are driving!

There you go, 11 things happening in our lives! Hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween!

The Corn Maze!

A couple of Friday's ago I decided to take the kids to the Corn Maze after school. It was suppose to be nice out and I knew this nice weather was not going to last. Renee and her boys came with us. I came prepared and situated the kids so there would be no conflict. I'm happy to say that it worked out great!

It took us about 1hr to get there. We got out and the kids were ready to go! It was a little windy out, but still warm. We paid and all the kids got a cone full of food for the animals. So that's what we did first. DJ got a kick out of the pigs. He didn't want to leave them. He thought they were so funny! Cadence was trying so hard to be brave and feed some animals. But she would jerk away every time. It was a little bit funny! DJ was not happy when we took him away from the pigs. So cute!
Brianna, DJ and Cadence checking out the pigs!

DJ feeding the cute pigs!! He loved the pigs.

Cadence trying so hard to feed the goat. Brianna finally came up and helped her. It was so cute!

Lincoln, DJ, Brianna , Cadence and Abbi watching the chickens.

I thought this would be a cute picture, DJ in the cattle chute. He didn't agree with me!!

We went to the BIG homemade slide next. All my kids were brave and went down. I got a video of all of them coming down.Their expressions kill me, so funny! It was a huge slide. I even went down and I probably had a funny expression too! They just kept going and going on the slide. Then a huge group of kids came, so we decided it was time to go to the next thing.
DJ at the top, Brianna just coming down and Abbi half way down!

Brianna's face at the end!! So funny! They were a little nervous about flying off the end. For the most part they didn't but a few times they did. So funny to watch!
DJ just ran up there and came down, without thinking about it. He did it so many times!

Abbi coming down.

I FINALLY talked Cadence into trying it! She was a little tense! But then she kept going down it! Funny girl, she over thinks things sometimes!

There was a little bale maze. The kids loved running around in that. So we let them go crazy! Even Lincoln had a blast. It was funny to watch him. DJ and Keaton were running like mad men and then diving on the bales. They were a little wild!
All six kids running around and on the small square bales!

Lincoln loves to climb. He thought he was so big!

Brianna posing for me!
Cadence never poses for me and she finally did. It turned out super cute!

Keaton and DJ being crazy boys!

Then we went into the corn maze. We decided to stick with the kids maze. We didn't want to be lost in there forever. So that's what we did. The kids took turns deciding which way to go. They thought it was so fun. I'm glad we didn't go in the big maze. We got some fun pictures of the kids in the maze.

Cool picture of everyone walking through the corn maze!

DJ was taking a turn being in the front!

DJ and Keaton sticking together!

All the kids in front of the maze. Not sure what they were all looking at! Oh well!

My 4 cute kids! Love them!

We then went and picked out our pumpkins. The kids all wanted to pick one. We got the perfect pumpkins and I thought it would be a perfect time for a photo! Brianna was mad at me and stormed out of the picture! Oh well!
Brianna found the bunny houses. She loved petting them!

Brianna in the cattle chute!

Everyone with a pumpkin. Oh here is Brianna in the midst of her fall. She tripped and fell. Then she stormed off!

I promised my kids that they could go on the cow train after we were done everything. I didn't realize it cost extra money. But I did promise so I went and paid for everyone. They LOVED it! It was really funny to watch. The kids thought it was hilarious and I could hear them yelling and laughing the whole time. So it was the perfect way to end our trip there.
Everyone on the cow train!

There they go!

Coming back. DJ sat like that the whole way! They loved the ride!

It was a fun afternoon. It went by super fast and we all had so much fun. I'm so glad we decided to go.

Thanksgiving 2012!

On Saturday we went out to Cardston for the Spencer Thanksgiving. Saturday morning we relaxed and listened to Conference while I helped Cadence finish making her ABC book. We've been working on it for a while, and this was the perfect time to finish it. I love listening to Conference. There was some exciting news about Missionaries. Boys can go now at 18 and girls at 19. Crazy! Very exciting though.

We got to Cardston and helped finish getting things ready. It was a yummy dinner. Before hand I told myself to not over load my plate and wait for a bit before I decided to go for seconds. Man it worked. I was feeling yucky and stuffed after. It was perfect. My goal for this weekend was not to gain any weight. I joined the Weight Loss Competition in Magrath and I needed to keep going down. My weigh in was on the Wednesday after Thanksgiving. I was down 4.4lbs. Awesome, eh?! I think the running at night really helped me. I exercised every day except Sunday, of course. It was great. I felt great after the dinners too. Big difference.

After we ate, the kids played together. DJ, Declan and Kyle went downstairs and set up all the blocks and trucks. They played down there for a long time. It was perfect. Oh, Shelly got some baby birds and was going to feed them. She had DJ and Cadence feed the birds from their hands. I was shocked that they both did it. They held their hands so still, well Cadence jumped a little, but then she let the bird eat from her hand. It was so cute to watch.
DJ loved feeding the cute little birdies!

Cadence was a little jumpy but, she fed them. I was shocked! Way to go Cadence!

Shelly made some really cute and yummy cake pops for the kids. They loved it. It was funny to watch them eat the cake pops. I tried to get a shot of all the kids, but it didn't work out too well! Lisa and Brian weren't there, so we were missing 3 kids.
Brianna patiently waiting for the rest of the kids before she had a cake pop!

Everyone LOVED their cake pops! Except Ethan, even though he really wanted one!

DJ eating his!! Ha ha! Love this picture, so funny!

Cadence eating hers! Love her perm, it totally suits her!

Ethan with his Uncle Richard. Ethan is such a cutie and getting so big!

We didn't stay too long. We came back home in time for Richard to run to the Priesthood session. On Sunday we just stayed home and watched Conference downstairs. We get it on the computer and I hook it up to the tv. It's perfect. The kids watch for the first session (kind of). Again it was an excellent Conference. I loved listening to it. Can't wait to read the talks when they come out.

Monday we were heading out to my parents house for Thanksgiving Dinner. We got there in the morning. The kids wanted to play with their cousins. Plus the guys all had their guns and they were shooting skeet. Just like we did last year. I think it's becoming a tradition. It wasn't the greatest weather, but oh well, it didn't stop us from shooting. I went out and took pictures and then took my turn at shooting. I suck! Then Cody gave me his gun with the red laser thing at the end. Then I hit the skeet with my first shot! Ha! I can shoot! It was fun! Thanks Cody!
Megan the "sharp shooter"!! She's good!

David took all the pictures of me from behind!! Funny David!! But here I am shooting!

Megan took a good picture of me. Theron is beside me and Dad is operating the skeet shooter!

Oh we also got to meet David's girlfriend, Jill, for the first time. I'm sure it was a little overwhelming for her, but she seems super nice. Her and David make a very cute couple!
David helping his girlfriend, Jill, shoot! Cody is behind them with his gun, Cam is by Dad.

We had our dinner and it was absolutely delicious! Yummy, I love turkey and stuffing. After we cleaned up it was fun to sit around and visit. Then we played some rounds of Rook. The kids played downstairs, since it was raining and cold outside. They had fun though. I was laughing at Mary and DJ. Mary was such a sport and played cars and trucks with him for quite a while. Then she stopped and told him it was time to play house, with purses. He looked at her and said ok. It was so funny. So they were walking around with purses on. At one point DJ was trying to show Mary how to put her purse on right, over her head (just cause that's how he sees me wearing mine). He cracks me up. Those two are so so so cute together. They play so good together.
The kids playing downstairs.

Mary and DJ being absolutely adorable!! Ha ha!

The marched around and then came and sat on Uncle Cody (who was sleeping)!

DJ and Mary drinking out of Grandpa's HUGE cups, that he was so proud of! Dad got tons of these cups for free, but they are huge!

The kids playing games and doing puzzles!

Everyone just relaxing and visiting! It was a relaxing day!

We were ready to go and all my kids decided to get a ride from Uncle David! Good thing he is so strong!!

It was a fun day. We were there all day long. We finally came home around 7pm. DJ zonked on the way home, he was exhausted! The girls went straight to bed. They had school in the morning. Crazy DJ slept all night and woke up at 4:45am, deciding it was time to get up. He was a happy boy. I put a movie on for him. I was a bit grouchy because of how early he got up. Luckily he had a 2 hr nap in the afternoon. Crazy boy! Anyways, it was a great Thanksgiving weekend. Lots of yummy food and awesome company!
