DJ Turns 6!!!

I probably say this every year, but I can't believe how big my little boy is. He turned the big 6 on November 14th. He was super excited about his birthday. He actually told me a week before his birthday that he was having an all boy birthday party. "No girls, not even my sisters. But you can come mom." Oh thanks DJ!! I wasn't planning on giving him a party this year since we are squished in the basement and busy working on our house!
Tiff and Jill helped me make this cupcake truck for DJ!

So I decided to do it Thursday after Kindergarten, he invited four of his friends from school. I picked them all up and we came back home. It was freezing cold outside, so that meant, no running around outside. Kids love running around the campground! ha ha! They came in the house and I gave each of them a card board box. I told them they get to decorate it to look like a car. The boys thought that was awesome. I gave them a whole bunch of felts, stickers, glue, tape and paper. They made some cool looking cars!!
All decorated for the party!

Then they got to sit in their cars and watch a movie while they ate their pizzas. Then I brought the yummy treats out....just like at a movie theater. They were watching Dragons 2. I wasn't sure if this was going to work but it totally did.
The boys eating and watching the movie from their cars!

They lasted for about an hour and then they wanted to run around. So I opened the door to the pool room and all the boys thought that was so cool. They took their shoes off and ran around the pool. They had so much fun running and playing games in the big pool. Ha ha! It was perfect.
They were having a hopping race! Love this picture where most of them are in the air!ha ha!

RUN!!

This was a huge hit!

Then we came back in and sang happy birthday to DJ. Then they got to all blow out their own candles. They weren't too interested in actually eating the cupcakes, probably because of all the junk they ate. Ha ha!
Singing happy birthday to DJ!

Blowing their candles out!

So we opened presents. That was a huge hit. It was so cute to see how the boys were so excited to have DJ open their present. After the presents were opened the boys had fun playing with the toys together.
Love that DJ is opening his presents from his car!

Back out in the pool playing with the new toys!

Ryerson showing me his crazy eyes!

It was a fun couple of hours. Then it was time to go. They all got to go for a ride on the bus. That's how I dropped them off at their houses! DJ was a happy boy and I was just glad it was all over. Parties are totally not my thing. But I was happy because DJ was happy! So it was a win!!

That night we went out to my mom and dad's for dinner. It was actually my brother, David's, birthday. So we went out and celebrated with them. They celebrated DJ's too! It was perfect. So fun! DJ loves his Uncle David and they almost share a birthday!! ha ha!
The Birthday boys!!! DJ and his Uncle David!

Then DJ's real birthday came the next day! He was one happy boy. He kept asking me if he was bigger. We actually had to measure him to his sisters. He's a good inch taller than Cadence and about the same height as Brianna. He still has a ways to catch up to Abbi!

We celebrated his birthday just with our little family. He chose to have pancakes and eggs with bacon and sausages for his dinner. Then we sang happy birthday to him. He chose a spiderman cake from Walmart! Ha ha! First time I've never actually made his cake. I can do that next year. He seemed totally fine with it.
His cool spiderman cake!

Blow DJ!!!

Then he opened his presents from us. It was a fun evening together as a family. He loved his castle we got him. He played with it for hours. It was so cute. He plays with it every day! Love it!

He was so excited!

Watching dad get his castle out!

I couldn't imagine our family without our DJ!!! He is certainly a joy!! Always loves to make everyone laugh and he's very good at it. He has the best smile too! Love him to pieces. He loves making new friends at school and is doing so good this year. Yeah!!  Sometimes he can say the funniest things that get us all laughing. Plus he has a very contagious laugh too. When he is laughing really hard, I can't help but laugh too. I really can't, it's so hard. Especially if I shouldn't be laughing. Ha ha! We love him so much!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DJ!!!

Ten Or More On Tuesday!

I feel like the days are flying by and so are the weeks. It's scary how fast Christmas is sneaking up on us. I have done absolutely nothing!! That is a first! So here is what we have been up too!

1. DJ's birthday was a few weeks ago. We went out to my mom's one night so Jill and Tiff could help me make cupcakes for DJ. We had a lot of fun icing and figuring out what we were making the cupcakes into! Thanks Tiff and Jill you guys rock!! The kids had fun helping us eat the left over icing!
We were making a big truck! Can ya tell?!

Jill and Tiff, my life savors!

Abbi squeezing some icing into her mouth!

Brianna's turn!

Then they turned and helped DJ fill his mouth!

The finished product! DJ loved it!

2. Richard and Justin have been putting in a lot of hours on the house. I feel like I haven't put any pictures up lately. It's so exciting to see things getting done on the house. I love it! It's slowly taking shape and I can't wait till we are living there!
Justin and Richard eating their supper that we brought out to them!

Having some hot chocolate on their scaffolding on top of the trailer. Then they would pull that trailer with the quad. It was a little crazy! They were doing the soffit on the house.

We have all our windows and doors in! Yeah! And you can see the soffit they were putting in on the right side.

3. When Steve and Stacey were down for Megan's wedding, we decided to throw a surprise birthday party for Stacey. She's turning the big 40!!! It was a fun little party! I think we surprised her! She wasn't expecting it at all! ha ha (evil laugh)!!
Stacey and Keira with the awesome cake!

Stacey got a fancy cane from Brent, Tiff, Cody and Emily!

I gave her a bottle of kisses and the note said, "You can KISS your 30's good bye!" and then a bag of rockets that said, "But your 40's are going to ROCK!" Ha ha! Love ya Stacey!

4. I love finding crazy selfies on my phone. Cadence has the best ones right now. She just cracks me up. So here are her selfies!

5. One day last week (after the kids dentist appointment), we stopped by to see Dr. Malach. He really wanted to see my kids. It was fun to walk in and be told that he was too busy to see anyone that didn't have an appointment. I mentioned that he told me to stop by and he wanted to see my triplets. Then it was like, "Oh yeah, come right back, he really wants to see you!" Ha ha ha! Totally made me smile. My kids all became super shy, but they all said hi! He loved to see them all!
Dr. Malach was my Doctor for all my kids!

6. We have been going out to my parents every Sunday for dinner and so I can do laundry. Anyways, my kids love to play games. I took pictures of them playing spoons. That is their favorite game, so far!!
Playing spoons!

Brianna had just grabbed her spoon!

7. When there are things for me to do out at the house I do them. It's usually me cleaning up around the house and taking loads and loads to the dump. It helps to keep it less cluttered. Last week I was able to start insulating. It's not very hard but it is not a very fun job! Ha ha! But it's something I can do!
Crazy eyes! Ha ha! They were really itchy eyes by the end of the day. Ouch!

8. The week after Megan and Chris' wedding they had their reception in Barnwell. So the kids and I headed to the reception. Richard was working on the house with Justin. It was fun to visit with everyone!

9. DJ has recently found that he can fit in our huge lidded tote. He excitedly told me that it's like his room. He even taped a flashlight in it and put his pillows and blankets in it with his toys. It totally cracked me up. Then that night he insisted on sleeping in it. So I told him he could, thinking there was no way it was going to last. But he slept there all night! It was hilarious. It couldn't of been that comfortable. He did wake up on 6am on a Saturday!

10. Now on that same note, the kids were playing in the other big tote of ours. I kept telling them not to play in that one, because it locks, and if you are inside you would be stuck. So they came back and kept playing with their other one. Well a week later the kids were playing after supper and I was telling the girls to read. I then went into my room to prepare my FHE lesson. I came out and couldn't find Abbi anywhere. I asked DJ (who was in the bathroom) where she was, since he was playing with her. He said he didn't know. I was walking around and was totally confused where she went. Then we could hear someone screaming for mom. But it was very muffled. I was running around. I flew outside but she wasn't out there. Then we ran into the pool room and opened the lid to the tote. Ta da! There she was screaming and crying. She had been locked in there probably for 10 minutes or so. Sheesh. We calmed her down and I was trying not to laugh (I'm so bad)! I don't think we will ever find Abbi in a big lidded tote again!

11. I picked DJ up from Kindergarten one day and he was excitedly telling me that they were going to go to the fire department. He was so excited. He told me that he was going to be a fireman when he grew up. Then he told me that he was going to always have marsh mellows and a stick with him. Then he smiled at me so big and said wouldn't that be fun. I can roast a marsh mellow while I put a fire out. Then he started laughing so hard!! Oh I love him! He cracks me up!
My crazy boy doing exercises with me!

12. I found a picture from over a month ago. We went out to my parents and my kids started helping my dad unload his trailer of top soil. It was so cute. My kids worked hard and didn't stop till it was all done. So cute!
Smoothing out all the top soil! What hard workers!

Chris and Megan's Wedding!

So on Saturday, November 8th, Megan and Chris were married for eternity in the Cardston Temple. We are so happy for both of them. Chris is a super nice guy and they make a really cute couple. We were happy to be apart of their wedding.

I should back up to Friday, we all got together to help decorate at the church. We got there after lunch and helped set everything up. The kids were a huge help and they had fun helping too. Then they ran around and ended up in time out by Grandpa! Ha ha! Then they went outside and ran around! We had supper there too. Emily brought us pizza. So that worked out perfect. It was a tiring afternoon but we all had fun too!
DJ and Evan having fun playing cars together!

Cute Keira walking around with her puppy!

Really pretty sunset, that we could see from the church!

Then Saturday morning we had to be at the Temple by 9:30. So we got up early and were able to get there on time. The ceremony was absolutely beautiful and special. Loved being able to be apart of it. Brought tears to my eyes. I'm so happy for Megan and Chris.
Here's our cute family ready for the wedding!!

Then we went to go get the kids. Richard actually stayed and went back to Magrath with his dad. They were working on the house. The Family dinner wasn't till 4pm. So that way, he was able to get some work done.

The kids and I went back to the Temple and we were there when Chris and Megan came out. The kids were excited to go give them a hug and be in some pictures. It was a little chilly out, but we were able to get some pictures taken. Megan looked absolutely gorgeous and so happy! Chris looked pretty happy too!

Abbi and Keira!

Love this picture of cousins with Chris and Megan in the background! So cool!

After pictures Chris and Megan went with the photographer to Waterton to get more pictures. We stayed behind. I took the kids to Subway with Cody, Stacey and their families. It was a fun lunch!! I love being able to hang out with my brothers and sisters.

Then we drove out to our new house. Stacey and Steve and Cody and Em haven't seen it yet. So that was fun to show them around. I'm getting super excited about our house. Richard was out there working with his dad, Justin and Locke. Actually we didn't see Richard, I learned later that he was rushing around trying to fix a leak in our sistern. Yay, not good. It totally explains, his grumpiness!!

It was then time for the Family dinner. Away we went. I kept phoning Richard, because he was suppose to meet us there so we could get a family picture with Shelley and Travis. It was nice to get a family picture with EVERYONE in it. We have a pretty big family. Love it!!
Kids racing around in front of the church!

Our crazy family picture with everyone!!! This is all our crazy faces!! ha ha!

Richard and DJ!! So he andsome!

Then it was time for dinner. Yeah!!! The family dinner was just for immediate family. So it wasn't huge. It was the perfect size. The decorations looked amazing. Megan knew what she was doing!! LOL!! The couple looked amazing and very happy! Dad welcomed everyone and we had opening prayer and then it was time to eat.

Megan and Chris had a card to explain the "Kissing Game". If we wanted them to kiss then instead of clinging glasses we had to take a paper out of a treasure box and do whatever it says on it. The kids had a blast with it. There were some really funny ones! Of course Steve and Stacey had to do their running into each others arms kiss. Ha ha, so funny! It was a lot of fun.
All these cute girls were dancing to a song on the Ipad!! So cute!

Then here's the kiss!

Stacey running to Steve!

Jumping into Steve's arms.

Going in for the kiss!

Here comes the bride! ha ha!

And the kiss!

The girls had to come back up and dance again! They thought it was hilarious!

Grandpa even joined in on the dancing!

Instead of a program, each family did a little something to welcome the bride or groom into the family. David was the spokes person for our family. He did a very good job! He said something about each sibling and then gave a few things to Chris to welcome him into the family. Then Chris' sisters did a little song and dance for Megan. Very cute.
Grandpa Pitcher welcoming Chris to the family too!

The sisters doing a song and dance!

Chris doing his little speech!

Oh we also had some very yummy cupcakes. The kids were patiently waiting for when they could eat the cupcakes. They looked delicious and they were. Tiffani and Jill made and decorated the cupcakes. They did a great job!
Cute Keira showing off her dress!

Such a cute display of the cupcakes!

Eating cupcakes and icecream!

It was the perfect day! Megan and Chris left for the honeymoon just after 6pm. So we stayed behind to help clean up. I stayed to the bitter end. Because my husband accidently took off with my keys in his pocket. It was a crazy day for Richard. As I mentioned later, he was trying to fix a leak (which I had no idea was going on). Anyways, I was calling and calling him and he wasn't answering. He finally answered and said can't talk and hung up. Yup, I was a little ticked off. I was stuck in Raymond and he wasn't talking. Ha ha. I texted him that I was stuck there and he had my keys. Anyways, it was a huge mix up and he felt so bad. Then I felt bad, when I figured out what was going on. Man, talk about craziness!
