Spencer Clan!: Odds and Ends!!

I think I mentioned it before, but we were staying in Richard's grandparents house in Cardston. We went in the day school ended, which was June 23 and we stayed until July 5th. It was a nice break from the trailer, that's for sure!!

We had a really rainy day, so we stayed inside and the kids played. I went over to Shelly's and got some of our toys out of her garage and brought them over. DJ was in heaven playing with his toys. He's really missed having ALL of his toys around! Kyle, Ella and Declan came over for the afternoon and they all had a blast just playing together. It was nice!

On another afternoon we decided to go out to Wally's beach with Curtis and his kids and Shelly came with us too. We got all packed up and the clouds moved in and it started to rain. It was just a light rain. We decided to go anyways. So glad we did, it turned out to be nice. The kids had fun playing in the sand and water.

Shelly taught my girls how to knit this summer. That was a huge hit. I have no idea how to knit, but my girls have really enjoyed learning how. They would knit away. It was cute watching them learn from their grandma!!

Then on the Friday, July 4th, we moved back to our trailer. We were going to stay longer, but our friends Tiffany Seely and her family were coming camping in the same campground. We really wanted to come and hang out with them. So we did!

Once we got back to the trailer, we had to do some fun stuff like make smores. We hadn't really done much of that at all. My dad brought a truck load of wood for us. My kids were super excited about that. So we had some yummy smores for FHE one Monday! I had picked up Mikah and Shaylee too, so they were with us. We've had some fun doing things with those two too!! Always lots of fun!!

We've gone out to Wally's a few times too. We met up with Megan and Chris one time. It was a super hot Saturday. We got there in the morning so we could get a good spot. Good thing because it was super busy out. Crazy busy! The kids had fun swimming and we got to take Megan's paddle board out a few times too. At one point DJ was swimming out in the water and started screaming like crazy. I jumped up and ran out to him and he yelled, "My dolphin is getting away." He was screaming because his blow up dolphin was floating away. Sheesh! Give me a heart attack. I had to swim like crazy and catch it.

After going to Wally's Beach we came back to the campground. The kids were a little upset because we missed the campground ice cream sundae get together. So I promised them that we would have our own Sundae's. So we did. It was super fun and yummy to do on a really hot day!
