I woke up on Mother's Day to some giggling and then DJ ran into the room to inform me that I had to stay in bed. Fine by me! I snoozed for a bit and kept waiting. Then DJ came walking in with a HUGE grin on his face, carrying a plate of food for me. Abbi and DJ both made me breakfast in bed. It was super cute. They did it all by themselves. They made me some Cinnamon toast with apple slices and cheese. DJ was super proud of himself. So cute!!

First Trip To Waterton in 2013!

A couple of weeks ago, my sister, Megan, phoned and asked if we wanted to go to Waterton with her on Saturday. First she wanted to go to a Temple Session then we could drive up to Waterton. Richard has been insanely busy! Not to complain, I am so happy that he's busy. We just haven't done much together lately. He couldn't make it, so I decided to go through a session with my sister. I am so glad I did. I dropped the kids off at my In-laws and we quickly went to the temple. It was a Saturday morning so it was a little busy. We were just in time for the 10:30am session. We got in and realized our parents were working and would be in the session too. It was a really neat and I am so glad we went. Afterwards, we all went down to the cafeteria and had a yummy lunch. It was a wonderful morning!

Megan and I then went over to the Spencer's to change and gather up my kidlets! It was a beautiful day and we were excited to go to Waterton. DJ was super tired and fell asleep on the way there. Which, I am so glad he did, he was a tired boy. We just stayed around the townsite. It was a fun afternoon. The kids played at the playground. I should say, Aunt Megan did too! She was showing them some tricks and they were all trying to copy her!
The best picture I could get of my crazy 4 kids!

Cute pose of Cadence!

I don`t get very many good pictures of DJ, he just won`t stand still!

Aunt Megan showing the girls how to hang upside and and flip around!

Cadence got right up there and hung upside down!

Abbi hanging upside down!

Brianna showing us how it`s done!

DJ walking across the stepping stones!

Aunt Megan hanging upside down on the swing and flipping off! I was pretty impressed. There`s no way I could do that!

Brianna was the only brave one to try hanging upside down on the swing!

Then we went and parked on main street and got all the scooters out, and Megan's longboard. My kids followed their Aunt Megan around the pathway. It was a little chaotic. We did get a few looks! DJ was following his sisters on his "motorbike". It's a tricycle that he is way too big for, but he insisted on me bringing it! Silly boy!
Megan on the long board and the kids up ahead!

Cool picture of Megan with the Prince of Wales Hotel in the background.

My crazy kids racing along the pathway!

We looped around and now were coming back to the main street. It was a good way to get rid of some energy!

My 4 kids at Waterton Lake. It was so calm!

My cutie pies on a cool swing!

We all worked up a little bit of an appetite. So we went over to Big Scoop and got a little ice cream cone!! Ha ha! My kids NEVER finish the big ones and I didn't feel like spending a fortune so we got some little ones. Everyone ate there's all gone!
Everyone enjoying their icecream. And I just realized, that you can see me in the reflection of the window, taking the picture!

Then we rode back to the truck and loaded it up. We drove over to Cameron Falls to walk around a little bit. I was trying hard to get some pictures. I got a few but the kids weren't being very cooperative. Oh well, at least they are cute!!
I can`t get 1 picture with all my kids looking at the camera! Oh well! Not sure what Cadence is doing!

Me and my 4 cute kids in front of Cameron Falls.

Cute picture of Brianna and Cadence hugging each other!

Brianna took a picture of me.

DJ was obsessed with looking down each hole to see if there was a squirrel living there!

Then we drove up to the Prince Of Wales Hotel. The kids were asking us about the hotel. We told them that it is a really old hotel and Megan told them that there is a rumor that the Hotel is haunted. Well my kids thought that was cool. DJ couldn't let that one go. We got up to the top and DJ kept saying, I see the ghost car, I see the ghost hotel, oh look there`s a ghost walking! He`s such a silly boy! It was so pretty out. Abbi was making me super nervous, getting so close to the edge. We had fun walking around and taking pictures. Then we told everyone it was time to go, and DJ kept telling me to go down the ghost ramp (it was a one way parking lot and it slanted down)! He yelled good-bye to the ghosts!
Cute pictures of my triplets over looking Waterton Lake!

Pretty picture of Waterton Lake and snow capped mountains!

My 4 kids!

Loved this picture of Brianna looking out at the lake!

DJ in front of the Prince of Wales Hotel. He kept calling it the ghost house!

DJ jumping from rock to rock!

Abbi standing on the biggest rock she could find!

We then headed back to Cardston. It was a really fun afternoon and I am so glad that we decided to go. It was an awesome idea Megan! We got to Cardston and we met up with Richard, who was just finishing a job there and heading to another one. I got some take out Chinese food and we headed home. It was a really fun day!

My Crazy Kids!

Since I haven't posted for a while, there are a few things I wanted to write down before I forget them.

1. During the Easter Break I took my kids to the movie, The Croods. It's hilarious. It's about a caveman family. DJ loved it. All through out the movie they made traps for all sorts of things. I guess DJ payed close attention to that. A few days later, DJ came and got me. He had made a trap in my room. I walked in and a rope went around me, then a tractor (medium sized) that was tied to the end of the rope fell, which made the rope tighten around me. He did it all by himself. Well, all day he was making traps for me. I pretended to fall and he was in heaven. That night Brianna was walking downstairs when DJ (at the top of the stairs) threw down  the end of the rope. He yelled, "Hey Bnana, pull the rope." Well Brianna grabbed it and pulled. She was looking up and the tractor hit her right between the eyes. Poor girl had a goose egg there for a couple of days. I finally got her settled down and got the story. I went and found DJ and got after him and was trying to put him in his room. Well he was getting mad and yelling, "But mom me do noffing, ME DO NOFFING (while he is throwing his hands up in the air)." I had to explain to him why he couldn't do that. It was pretty funny. Smart little boy. Poor Brianna, was so understanding and told DJ to tell her that there's a tractor tied to the end of the rope next time. He said OK, and gave her a hug!

2. Cadence has had her grown up tooth in the front bottom behind her baby tooth for a while now. It's basically fully grown and her baby tooth is still there. I told her to wiggle it because it was coming out this week(that was last week!). So she was wiggling it and wiggling it. She had me tie some dental floss to it a few times. But we never did anything with it. Finally on Saturday she came up to me and told me she was going to tie it to a door and DJ was going to close it. So I tied the dental floss to her tooth and then to the front door (because it's heavy!)! We told DJ to go ahead and close the door. Well he did it super slow and Cadence ran after it. I opened the door again and Cadence was just telling me that she didn't want to do it. Without thinking about it, I slammed the door shut. Cadence gasped and then was on the floor picking up her tooth. It actually worked and she was so excited. We found out that Brianna recorded the whole thing. It's pretty funny to watch. Between Cadence's reaction and me laughing (crazy mom)! So the Tooth Fairy came that night and spoiled her!!

3. This week we got our counter tops redone. I love it! Our island looks so much better. We made it one height so the kids can sit at it. Anyways the guy that did it for us was over here a lot. He's very short with dark hair and a mustache and goute. Anyways, one night after he left, Abbi came up to Richard and I. She said, "He's a really nice man. He's just like a cute little monkey!" Oh my, I about died. I was laughing so hard and so was Richard. The funny thing was Abbi was being very serious and she wasn't trying to be mean. The funny thing is is I could see what she was talking about. Oh it makes me chuckle just thinking about it. So funny!

4. We've had some crazy weather this spring. We thought we were done with snow. But the 2nd week in April we had a huge snow storm. It snowed for about 3 days. There was a lot of snow and the kids had a BLAST playing in it. We borrowed a big sled from the Orr's to pull behind the quad. The Orr's came over and I pulled the kids on the sled for about 2hrs. They had an absolute blast. We had some crazy wipe outs, but everyone had fun. Richard pulled them for a bit the next day too. DJ had me pull him behind the sled by himself, when the girls were at school. He was loving it!

5. DJ has always been able to sniff his lip up to his nose. It doesn't make sense, but he does it all the time. It's a habit and it always makes us laugh. So I finally took a few pictures of him doing it. He does it when he's sad or mad.
Crazy kid! This makes it look even crazier since he's covered in chocolate!

6. Cadence had her clogging recital. It was so fun to go watch her. She loved going to clogging and I never had to fight her to go to practises. She did so good and we are so proud of her! It was super fun to watch her perform!
Cute Cadence in her cheer leader outfit for one of her dances!

Cadence doing a clogging dance to "Dancing in the Rain"! What a cutie!
Cadence with her clogging class!

What a cute little girl! Love her!

7. Cadence had some rough days at school a couple of weeks ago. It took us a bit to figure out what was going on. She finally told me that someone was not being nice and every time she talked this girl would grab her face and squeeze her mouth shut and tell Cadence to be quiet. Anyways, we took care of that. But she came home with me one afternoon after the walk/run club. She was sobbing and didn't want me to leave. So she came with me and DJ to his field trip with the Parent Pre School. We went to the Westwinds Gymnastics. It was a fun afternoon! On the way home we had to stop and get a prescription at Shoppers. We ended up waiting for a LONG time! So the kids entertained themselves. Plus we made a few messes, which totally embarrassed me. I had to get an employee so they could mop up some baby oil that fell off a shelf and split open. Just a little messy!
They found some canes and were acting like old people!!

8. One afternoon DJ and I were driving to Raymond (I think for his speech). The clouds looked crazy dark. So I took a picture. But then I looked on the other side of me and it looked nice and sunny with white fluffy clouds. It was kind of funny. So I had to take a picture of both sides. It started snowing that afternoon, really hard. I believe this was May 1st.
This was on the North side of the road.

And this is on the South side of the road! Crazy, eh?!

9. I have drove bus quite a bit. DJ always comes with me. We have taken kids into Nicholas Sheran for swimming, so DJ and I swim too! It's been a lot of fun. DJ loves it. The only thing is, it totally tuckers him out. He always falls asleep on the way home from swimming. Well this was the best position of him sleeping. He was one tired boy!

10. DJ and I went shopping one day. We were looking for some dresses for David and Jill's wedding. Not sure if I've posted that but, my little brother, David, is getting married! Crazy! The date is July 6th, Richard's birthday!! We are so excited for them! Anyways, I couldn't find any dresses but we found a tie, glasses and hat for DJ. He was so excited that he insisted on wearing them out of the store. He thought he was so cool!

11. Cadence was getting ready for school one day and she had one of her skirts on. I told her it was too short to wear by itself. But it was too hot to wear pants or tights, so we took a pair of her black tight pants and I cut them off. She was so excited. She insisted on wearing the cut off part on her arms. She told me it matched and looked cool! What a girl!
What a funny girl!!

12. On Friday (of the May long weekend), Richard got off work early. He's been working late almost every night. We haven't seen him much. So we went into Lethbridge and had dinner at IHop. Then we took the kids to Henderson Park. They ran around a played for a bit. Then we went to Walmart to get a few things. The kids had fun running around there too! We didn't go anywhere this weekend. Richard worked all day Saturday and he is working today (Monday). So it's been fun to stay home and get things done. Glad we were able to do something together as a family on Friday! On Saturday the kids and I hurried and cleaned the house. I gave them each a list which they all completed. Works so good! Abbi didn't want to make her bed. This is what she said to me, "But mom, if I make my bed I mess up the blankets and my germs and then it won't be comfy at all. I want to leave it messy so I don't mess up my germs." What a girl! We went out to the farm afterwards and they played with Ali and Mary. Evan and Keira were there too. It was fun to hang out and visit. It was Cody's birthday too!
My 4 cute kids relaxing on a lounger!

Cody and Evan petting a horse. Evan is such a cutie!!

Fun At The Zoo!

I have seriously slacked on blogging lately. I've either been crazy busy, or when I do have time to do it I have no desire to type!! So I am going to do it today!! So way back at Easter time, we took the kids to the Zoo on Easter Monday. Richard had to work, but I followed my parents up. Mom came and road with me, and Cassi. Cam and the other 2 girls went with my dad. So all vehicles were fully loaded! I got a new movie for them to watch on the way up. It works like a charm. I grabbed some cereal and plastic cups for snacks. They travelled so good. We went to Emily's house to have lunch and then took off from there to go to the zoo.

I think EVERYONE had the same idea! The zoo was super busy. But I'm still glad we went. The kids had an absolute blast. It was so fun to watch them have fun with their cousins. We stopped at the Penguins first. There was a long line to get into the building. So we just saw the penguins outside.

Cadence as a cute little Penguin!

I brought my camera but forgot it in the vehicle. When I figured that out, I didn't feel like going all the way back to get it. So I didn't get too many pictures. I just had my cell phone. We asked the kids what animals they really wanted to see and we made sure we saw those ones. Everyone had a fun time.
Checking out the Elephants. DJ was resting in the stroller!

These two girls loved the butterfly gardens. Brianna had a butterfly land on her shoulder and she stood there so still and quiet for at least 5 minutes. She had a big crowd come up and look at the butterfly. She loved it!

Cadence and Brianna checking out the butterflies. I didn't get a picture of her with the butterfly.

DJ checking out the big vulture. He was fascinated with it!

All the cousins at the zoo, minus Evan (who was in his stroller!). Loved this picture!

I think the funniest thing that happened was at the Canadian Wildlife. I usually skip this one, but everyone wanted to go through it. So away we went. We got halfway around and came up to the Buffalo exhibit. The girls ran up to the fence and were talking loudly, pointing at the two buffalo that were standing fairly close. All of the sudden the one buffalo charge the fence. He rammed his head between two bars and was flinging his head up and pawing the ground. All the girls screamed and jumped back. It kind of startled us adults too. Luckily there were two fences surrounding the crazy buffalo. The girls then started laughing and went up to the fence again. The buffalo charged again. So we left! It was kind of funny!
The crazy buffalo getting ready to charge again!

The kids climbing on the rocks.

Abbi posing for me!

Brianna and Mary being super cute!

On the way out we got to go into the Penguins building and watch the workers feed the penguins. We saw that last time too. It was really cool. The kids loved watching the penguins. It was the perfect way to end our trip there.
Saying bye to the Penguins!

We then decided to go out for supper. We all met at Pizza Hut and had supper together. DJ was kind of having an off day. He still wasn't feeling the greatest. I took the stroller for him, in the zoo. I usually don't put him in a stroller anymore, because he's so big. But the poor kid, just didn't have energy. When we went to eat, he told me he wanted spaghetti. When it came, he just put his head down and started crying. Cody and I were trying to figure out what was wrong. Then he started crying and saying, "Me no want small balls me want big balls." It took me a bit before I figured out what he meant. He wanted meat balls. They didn't have any, just meat sauce! It was pretty funny! Cody finally took a bite and overly exaggerated how good it was. Then DJ started to eat it. Funny boy!

We stopped by Cody and Em's for everyone to use the bathroom. I got all my kids changed into jammies and then we were off. I put another movie on for them to watch. This time we had Anna in with us and my mom. We got home around 9:30pm. DJ fell asleep and stayed asleep when we got home. It was a long but fun day. I'm glad we went. The kids had a blast!
