Ten On Tuesday or Thursday!

I've had no time to do any blogging lately. Plus, I just haven't felt motivated to do it either. So this is my attempt to try to jot some things down.

1. Cadence got her top 4 teeth pulled on Feb 13th. She was put under and then they pulled those 4 teeth. She was one sore little girl for a couple of days. She's just fine now. She sure looks cute with her toothless smile! Love it!

Cadence just before we left to go to the dentist. You can hardly see her 4 front teeth, because they were so tiny from her grinding her teeth.

On the way to the dentist. Cadence decided to take some pictures. Thereès her unicorn and blanket that she brought with her.

We had to wait for quite a while, so she got comfortable and watched tv. Not sure why her mouth is wide open!

Her after picture.....all 4 teeth gone! Brave girl!

2. We had a busy but fun Valentines Day. The kids were super excited. I had a little surprise for them when they woke up. They each got a cute stuffed monkey and some candy. I had to take a snack to school for the girls' class party. DJ helped me get things ready for our Valentines Day supper. We made heart pizza's and the girls set up the table all fancy. DJ helped me make the chocolate heart dessert. It was a fun day. The girls made us some cute Valentines. Richard surprised me with some flowers and chocolates. It was a great day!
My girls LOVE to decorate for partys. I just made the food and they set the table and put the decorations on!

4 happy kids ready to eat their Valentines Day dinner!!

Picture of my flowers and chocolates and the Valentines that the girls made and DJ painted me a picture!

I love getting notes from my kids. So cute!

3. We were eating Chili for supper and Dj thought that it was hilarious. Because one of his good friends name is Chili. He thought it was funny that we were "eating" him!! Then in the Chili there were red kidney beans. All of the sudden DJ said, "OH a wittle hot dog, me wove hot dogs!", as he popped a bean in his mouth. It was very cute.

4. The other day I came into the kitchen and noticed the door to the fridge was open a tiny bit. I went to close it and heard a little noise. So I opened it and DJ screamed, SURPRISE! Then he giggled and giggled. It was pretty funny!
I can see his cute little eyes!!!

He was so proud of himself. Then he got out and said, "Brrrrrr, that told (meaning cold)"!!!

5. Richard and I had our 12 Year Anniversary on Feb 3rd. We were not planning on doing anything when Ricahrd phoned me and said we were going to Kalispell for the night. So Shelly and Eric watched our kids for us. We left Saturday morning and came back on Sunday. It was a quick get away but very relaxing. So glad we went. These 12 years have gone by super fast and we have had some crazy, fun, sad, hard and awesome moments in those years! I love Richard so much and cannot imagine life without him.

6. We have had some super nice days lately. So one morning DJ and I walked over to the horses just across the road from us. DJ insisted on bringing his little stuffed monkey that he got from Valentines Day. It was cute how he carried the monkey and showed the monkey the horses. What a funny boy!

7. We went to the annual family dance. The girls were super excited to do their dance. I videoed it and did not take any pictures. So just picture the cuteness! Ha ha! They did the Continental Divide Dance. It was from Ice Age. They all did so good. I love watching them. I always tell them to stand together so its easier for me to video them. So they went down and stood by each other, then the teacher ran over and moved Abbi. Oops, I guess they had assigned spots. Abbi got after me! Oh well!

8. Abbi and Cadence decided to go into the Basketball camp. It runs for 5 weeks, on Saturday mornings, from 9-10. Brianna kept telling me no. The other two absolutely love it. I had fun watching them play a little game at the end. Abbi ran down to the basket and turned and caught the ball and made the basket. Yeah! She had a little help from her coach (who was trying to show them how to play an actual game). It was super cute to watch. I will have to take pictures next week. They each got a ball too. We had to make a rule that they could only bounce the ball downstairs. I hope we got us some basketball players! Ha ha!

9. On the long weekend we went to Kalispell and spent 4 days there with my family. I will have a whole post on this. But I just wanted to put down that my girls learned how to ski. We went to Black Tail Mountain and they went into a lesson for the morning. I was shocked with how well they did. It was so fun to see them going down the hill. Fun times!
Brianna, Cadence and Abbi (Ali is beside Abbi), ready to learn to ski!!

A family picture of us at Black Tail Mountain. We were just leaving! We had us some tired kids. The girls went to sleep so good that night!!

10. The kids had all last week off of school. I love having them home with me. We had relaxing mornings and then usually did something in the afternoon. On Wednesday we all went swimming in Lethbridge. We met up with Cam and his girls. So that was fun. On Thursday Shelly, brought Seth, Jazi and Spencer over for the day. The kids had a blast running around playing. They went outside and DJ and Seth got so dirty in the sand box. Seth did not have a change of clothes, so he put on a pair of DJs pants. He kept telling me that they werent going to fit. I told him to try and TADA, they fit him perfect! Kind of funny! There is DJ who is 4 and Seth will be 8 in May. I think I have a BIG boy!

Signature HomeStyles - Before and After!

As I mentioned a few posts ago, I had a Signature HomeStyles party at my house. I was very excited to get my shipment in. It took exactly two weeks and it came. I went to the post office and I had to go back my Escalade up to the back door so we could get all the big boxes in. I had to lay down my seats too. There was a LOT!! So exciting. DJ was so excited to see all the boxes. He had plans of his own. We made him a castle out of all the boxes. He was in heaven.
DJ doing his little happy dance over all the boxes. He also loved all the bubble wrap. He would run and jump on them to pop everything! It kept him happy for a long time!

So I did a few before and after pictures of what I did with the different things. I have to say that I'm loving all the baskets and storage boxes. They are awesome. So I thought I'd share the pictures that I took. First off I took a picture of the top of my fridge. It's a horrible place where I pile paper and just everything. It always looked horrible. Plus the corner of my cupboard and my junk drawer. It was all really messy and it didn't matter how many times I tried to organize it, it never lasted. So here are some pictures!
Before - our junk drawer! Really no organization here.

After - I love it! This was two weeks ago and it still looks nice and tidy!
Before - The counter top. This is not even bad. I usually have a lot more papers.

After - All organized, pens, scissors etc up top and papers below. Perfect!
Before - On top of the fridge.

After - My nice clean fridge and I even did a little decorating. None of this is from Signature HomeStyles, but all the papers and stuff went in the organizer on the counter top.

Before - The tv stand with all the WII stuff.

After - All the WII games and controllers fit in the basket perfectly!
Before - All the DVD's in our bedroom.

After - All the dvds put away neatly! Just makes it look so much better!

I put my CD's in the far left basket, and misc electronics in the next basket. This is in our bedroom on top of the book shelf. I didn't do a before picture but stuff was normally piled on top.

This was one of my favorite baskets. I decided to make it our craft caddy! It's perfect. It cleaned up our craft cupboard and it's easy for the kids to carry anywhere and everything has a place. They use it all the time!

I really should of done a before picture of the kids boot room closet. But I didn't. There's 3 lidded baskets here with their toques in one, gloves and mitts in another and the small one is their spring gloves and garden gloves.
That's not a picture of all the different baskets, but it gives you an idea of what I got. It sure was fun to think of where I was going to use them all. I love organizing my house. I love it even more when it actually stays organized. So far, it's worked great! Thanx Jenni for the awesome party! It sure was a lot of fun!

Random!

I was looking at all my pictures and figured I just have some "random" things to post. Just so I don't forget. Nothing too exciting, just our every day going ons! That's it!

1. We now go to church at 9am on Sundays. So we have all Sunday afternoon and evening to spend together as a family. Richard and I decided to be better at keeping the Sabbath day holy by wearing our church clothes all day. So we told the kids, and they reacted OK. Abbi was a little upset. But it's been fine. It's been fun to play games together, take naps, color together, and just watching the kids play together. I caught Cadence doing her dads hair while he was on the computer!

2. Since I got my I-pad for Christmas....oh funny thing to note. DJ calls the I-pad the E-pad. It doesn't matter how many times we tell him it's always the E-pad! Anyways, all my kids absolutely love taking pictures on it. I get a lot of funny self portrait pictures on it!

Loved this picture of Cadence puckering up her lips!!
Brianna's crazy picture!

One of Abbi's sister taking a picture of her!

Then there's Brianna and Cadence!

3. A week ago we had a couple of freezing cold days. We haven't had very many this winter. I'm not complaining just stating a fact. Anyways, I felt like baking. So DJ helped me clean the house then he got his little stool and helped me bake. We had a bunch of old bananas so we made some banana bread and some banana muffins. Delish!

Old bananas!

The loafs, ready to go in the oven!

Our yummy results! It smelt so good in our house that day!
4. Ever since Christmas our kids have decided to play our WII more. I don't mind at all. It's nice that they can basically do it on their own. I just didn't have the patience before to sit and try to referee the fights. They know that if they fight over the WII that it's gone for the day. I did that once and haven't had to do it again! It's funny to watch them play.
The girls playing Just Dance!

DJ playing Mario Cart! It's his favorite. He does it every morning after the girls go to school!

5. Cadence got this crazy straw awhile ago. We forgot about it then DJ found it one afternoon and insisted on drinking from it. I had to take a picture....it was pretty funny!

6. I did a Cutbank run last week with my mom. DJ was with us. We stopped at JC Penny's to check out if they had any deals. DJ found these jammies that were on sale. I couldn't resist. I love one piece jammies, so cute!

7. After I took the kids to the dentist I took them to the Dollar Store. I told them that if they all did good that we could stop and they could each buy a toy. It worked perfect. They were so excited to go buy something. DJ bought this sword. He got a little crazy one night with it. He refused to get his jammies on and went crazy with his sword!

My crazy red haired boy!

8. I forgot to mention in the Dentist post that all my kids put their name in a draw. It was made the next day and Brianna won it. She won a gift card for $150 to Toys R Us! I was shocked. I told them that I was telling my kids that they all won it together. They were cool with that. Oh my, you should of seen my kids, so excited. I took them shopping last Friday. I should of taken a picture, but forgot. They each got to pick a toy out. We were in the store for a while. It was so hard for all of them to choose. DJ finally decided on a Sonic remote control car. Cadence got a Brave bow and arrow and jewellery. She always tells me that she looks just like Brave, which she does a bit...with her crazy, curly, red hair! Brianna picked out an outfit for her Princess Doll, and a little case of make-up. Abbi picked a "fancy" stroller for her dolls. They were very happy! I was too, because I didn't pay a penny!

9. Lately DJ has really been into "magic". He'll say his "magic" words and then pretend to make things disappear or have the lights turn off or on! Anyways, he was outside yesterday and came up to the sliding door. I was standing at the sink. He kept knocking on the door telling me to open it. Richard had come up (without DJ noticing) and hid in the curtains. I yelled, "Doors open", and Richard slid the door open. The look on DJ's face was priceless. He mouth dropped open. Then I yelled, "Door close", as I waved my hand. Then the door closed. We did this a few times. I yelled for the doors to open and they opened again to DJ standing there amazed. Then he said, "Mom, that is AWESOME!" It was hilarious. We were all laughing. Then Richard jumped out from the curtains and scared DJ! We had to explain to him that his dad was opening and closing the door. Then today he went outside again and came to the door and yelled, "Mom, open the door like magic again." Ha ha ha! Funny boy!

10. Yesterday my mom watched DJ for me so I could go to work with Richard. He's working on a really big house and was doing the in floor heating. So I came and helped and so did Fred Freisen. We all worked so good together. We got it done really fast. It was really fun to work with my husband. I can see that happening more often, once all the kids are in school. I wouldn't mind at all!

So this random post, kind of turned into a Ten on Tuesday! Oh well, it's a good way to get caught up! Hope everyone has a great weekend. This weather has been awesome. It's giving us the Spring Fever. My kids have been having a blast playing outside. One of them even asked me today if I could get the pool out! Crazy kids! It's nice but not that nice!! ha ha!

Dentists, and Teeth!

I figured these two things go together. I need to get caught up on my blog, so here we go. In the last month of so, the girls have had their share of lost teeth. Cadence FINALLY pulled her first tooth out a while ago. It was a big deal. I basically sat on her so I could pop it out. The silly thing was just hanging there by a thread. I freaked her out and she was screaming, so I put my fingers in to grab it and she clamped down on my fingers. Yeah, I probably deserved it! Then she yelled, "I WILL PULL IT OUT BY MYSELF!" She ran away and came back in 5 minutes with a tooth in her hand. Sheesh what an ordeal!! She was really proud of herself!

Brianna was getting ready for school one day. I told her to go get her shoes on and a few minutes later she comes walking out holding some Kleenex to her mouth. I asked what happened, in a very worried voice. Then she smiled and showed me that she had just pulled her tooth out. Wow! I didn't realize it was that loose. She was so HAPPY! That night she sat down and wrote the Tooth Fairy a letter. It was so stinking cute. I didn't help her at all. I had to take a picture of the note. She's such a sweetie!
Brianna showing me her toothless grin!

Brianna's note to the Tooth Fairy! It says, "Toof Furee I lik you wekus you tak my toof." Interpretation "Tooth Fairy I like you because you take my tooth." Too funny!

Last weekend the kids had a sleep over at the Grandma and Grandpa Spencer's house. We came home the next day and Abbi proudly showed my that she pulled her front tooth out! She told me the Tooth Fairy came and left her $5. I told said Tooth Fairy that they are showing us up (when Abbi wasn't around)!!! Ha ha! She was pretty happy!
Here's Abbi's cute grin!

Last Wednesday I took all 4 kids into see Dr. Grover. My sister, Shelley, is his assistant. Every since we've been going there, Cadence has let Shelley do a lot of things that nobody else could ever do in Cadence's mouth! She got her teeth cleaned, x-rays done, sealants on the back teeth. I've taken Cadence to a LOT of dentists to try to get these things done. She's a bit nervous around dentists. She has no cavities! Yeah! But then the next day she was crying so hard about her teeth. I took her back in and she has ground her 4 front teeth down so much that the nerves are exposed on all 4 teeth. So it's a bit painful. She goes in next Wednesday for sleep dentistry to get all 4 pulled out! That should be fun!
Cadence being super brave and letting Aunt Shelley clean her teeth.

DJ and Cadence with their Aunt Shelley!

Abbi and Brianna are pros at going to the Dentist. I don't even go back with them anymore. They happily skip away from me! The one hygienist came and told me that Brianna was so cute that she just wants to take her home! Brianna thought that was pretty funny. They both did awesome! No cavities. I brought Abbi back to get her sealants on her adult molars later too.

DJ let his Aunt Shelley clean his teeth. I was shocked. He sat there so good. He does have one small cavity so he had to come back to get that fixed. We saw Shelley one Saturday in Costco, and I went and said hi to her. As we were walking away DJ looked at me and said, "Mom, me just wove her." It was so cute! He does love seeing his Aunt Shelley and he does so good for her!
This was DJ's first visit and Aunt Shelley was giving him a ride in the chair.

DJ getting his teeth cleaned by Aunt Shelley!

On his 3rd visit DJ had to get a cavity fixed. The dentist came in to do the freezing. Both Shelley and I were a bit nervous about it, thinking DJ would freak out. But he laid there with his hands in his pockets the whole time. Didn't say a peep. I was so proud of him. A little shocked that he did so well, but happy it worked out! He did awesome! He was very happy afterwards!
DJ getting his cavity fixed. He laid there the whole time with his hands in his pockets! So funny!

On the way home Cadence was screaming and crying because she didn't let the dentist pull her tooth out (the one causing her lots of pain). She kept screaming, "TURN AROUND RIGHT NOW!" The dentist tried a few times, but she was just too nervous and kept jerking her head (that's why she's going to the sleep dentistry). I tried everything to get her to calm down. Finally I just said nothing and kept driving while she was screaming. I look in the mirror and saw DJ there with a funny look on his face. I then realized that it was because the one side of his face was frozen. It looked so funny. I started laughing so hard. I told DJ to turn around and look at his sisters. He did, and Cadence's screaming turned into real hard laughing. It was pretty funny. When he realized what we were laughing at he started making the funniest faces, which made us all laugh harder. It was pretty funny!
DJ with his lopsided grin. His mouth was frozen like that for the rest of the day! Abbi was killing herself laughing!

He was trying so hard to drink the Yop, but it kept falling out of his mouth and going down his shirt! Funny boy!

So that's our update on everyones teeth! Cadence goes in this coming Wednesday and I'll have to take a picture of her toothless smile. The dentist said that all 4 of her adult teeth are right there and shouldn't take long to come in. Hopefully all goes well!
