May Long Weekend!

We had decided to get our trailer ready for this weekend. It was all planned and I was starting to clean it out the week before. But wouldn't you know it, I was driving the burb on Tuesday and the Transmission went out. Not good! Luckily we had an in with the mechanic and he was able to hurry things along at ATR. YEAH!! So we had to wait on Friday till we got our burb back before we took off. But we were able to go!

Anyways, I packed Friday morning and then finished cleaning the house, while I was waiting for the phone call about the burb. We were hoping to be on the road by 1 or 2pm. No such luck. I didn't get the call till 2:30pm. So I got a babysitter over so RIchard and I could hurry in and get it. I decided to stop at Walmart on the way home to have some food in the trailer, since we were going to be a lot later then I had planned. I grabbed some food (minus any fruit, veggies or meat...what a pain!!), so we could at least have breakfast in the morning. Good thing I did. We didn't pull into Echo lake until 9:30pm. We left home at 5pm. Going over Mariah's pass is a lot slower with a trailer, plus we might of taken a wrong turn or two on the way! The girls were getting very worried that we were going to be lost forever! Kind of funny. We have some friends in our ward that had an empty trailer spot on their land by Echo. So we decided to take our trailer down and park there for the summer. It's beautiful there and right by the lake. They have a nice big dock that we can eventually swim off of! It'll be a lot of fun.

Saturday we explored around and just got things set up. We all went for a bike ride, but Cadence and DJ and I came back a bit earlier. My chain kept falling off, which meant DJ and I couldn't go anywhere. On the way back we rode by a driveway and a dog came racing out barking at us. Of course, it went straight after Cadence. She was screaming and trying to go fast. I kept telling her to keep pedalling. The crazy dog was growling and jumping at her and I was screaming at the dog. It was a little crazy, but we made it back. Then Cadence and DJ found lots of rocks and colored them with some felts. I went with the kids for a little hike with Rachael. She was showing us around. It was all good until the kids started picking up these huge pinecones and they got covered with sticky sap. Then I had kids crying about how sticky they were. It was sticky stuff and we were washing our hands all day to get that stuff off of us. Sheesh!
Abbi coming back from their bike ride.

Here comes Brianna!

Cadence and DJ busy coloring on the big rocks.

After they were finished, they ran and got me so I could take a picture of them with their rock!

My 3 cute girls with their walking sticks.

Cadence, Brianna, Abbi, Rachael and DJ, during our walk.

Everyone walking and DJ acting like Karate Kid, and hitting the log.

Abbi and DJ with some of the huge pinecones that got us ALL very sticky!

After lunch I took Brianna and DJ and went into Kalispell to go shopping at Walmart. We decided to get a small tv and dvd player to just leave in the trialer. So I bought that and a bunch of food. It was absolutely crazy in there. I think all of Southern Alberta was there. Reminded me of Black Friday shopping there. It was a bit nuts. So I quickly did the shopping I needed and we just came straight back to the trailer. We unpacked and I got supper ready. After we ate we packed up the kids and drove them down to the park. They ran around and played for about 45mins. It was funny to watch them. It was a fun park. Then we came back and put them to bed.
DJ climbing through one of the many tunnells.

Brianna really wanted me to take her picture on the tires. So cute!

And here is how Cadence poses!!

My 3 cute girls on the tire swing.

Everyone on the swings. The girls are getting really good at pumping themselves....so nice. DJ just likes swinging like superman!

We were playing monsters and here, Richard is the monster chasing all the kids. It was hilarious!

This is where they all ran to hide!

Sunday we were up and I gave DJ a bath in the trailer and washed his hair. Then I went out to the bathhouse to give the girls their shower and wash their hair. We all got ready for church and were ready to leave by 9:40am. We were following the Robinson's to the chapel. We got on the highway and I turned around and saw DJ with a funny look on his face. I yelled at Richard to pull over and was able to catch most of the throw up in his blanket. The poor kid was so sick. He was fevered and throwing up and had diahreah. He basically slept ALL day long. Needless to say, we missed church. The girls entertained themselve by riding their bikes around the trailer and playing house. I could hear them playing pretend, it was so cute! By 5pm, DJ finally perked up and was ready to come outside on my lap. We had steak and potoatoes for supper. Then we walked down to the water for a bit. DJ was finally wanting to do something. By 7pm though he was ready for bed. All the kids were exhaused and were asleep before 8pm. It was kind of nice. Richard and I sat outside after and played a game of Scrabble. It started to rain and we had to move our table under neath the canopy.
My poor little sick boy sound asleep on the couch in the trailer. He slept through everything, because it's kind of hard to be quiet in a trailer!

He perked up a little bit after supper and we all went down to the lake to throw rocks. Here are all the kids on the rock beach.

This didn't last very long until Brianna threw a rock that hit Cadence right in the back of her head!

Cadence didn't cry too hard, then decided to go out in the water with Abbi. Crazy girls!

On Monday it rained all morning. So we went in and did some shopping. I got a few more stuff for the trailer and got some clothes for the kids. Then we came back to the trailer for lunch and to unload the stuff that was staying there. I also packed up while the kids ate. We were then told that they were putting the dock into the water so we went to watch. Afterwards we went for a boat ride with the Robinson's. It was a lot of fun. It had stopped raining for the boat ride. But when we were coming back in the clouds were too. Then it poured again. That's when we left. On the way home ALL the kids fell asleep. I think we wore them all right out! It was a fun long weekend!
Brianna and Cadence and DJ watching the guys bring in the dock.

They towed it in behind the boat and here they are setting it up.

Mother's Day!

I already mentioned that I had a great Mother's Day. But I thought I'd do a quick post about it. Mine started on Thursday, where I took off after supper, by myself, and got a pedicure. I've had a coupon for a pedicure since my birthday and I thought this was the perfect time to use it. Then I met up with my Mom at Mark's Work Wear house for ladies night. I got a bunch of clothes and only spent $50. It was awesome!

Then on Friday I got a phone call from my SIL, Lisa. They were staying at the Holiday Inn (the old Ramada) and wanted us to come in to go swimming with them. I said yes. She called back 5mins later and said if we wanted the girls' could stay the night with them. They had a family suite so there was plenty of room. So we packed the girls' up (they were beyond excited), got our swimming stuff and away we went.

We swam, and swam and swam. All afternoon for about 3 1/2hrs. It was so much fun. The kids all had a blast. Lisa and I took turns playing with Spencer and DJ, while the other went down the slides with the other kids. By the time we were finished we were all starving. So we went up to their room and got the kids rinsed off and dressed and ourselves dressed. Then we loaded up in the burb and went to McDonalds for supper. We let the kids run and play there too. We were hoping that it would tire them out!! By the time we got back to the hotel, Brian was there and it was 7pm. I gave each of my girls a big hug and kiss and told them to be good. Then DJ and I went down with Brian so we could switch vehicles. Well Brian asked DJ if he was staying with them. DJ looked at his Uncle Brian then at me and said, "yup", and walked over and took Brian's hand. It shocked me!! DJ is always with me!! So I ended up coming home with no kids and leaving Lisa and Brian with a total of 7 kids. Crazy eh?! They had a blast! Luckily we did tire them out and they all went to bed good and they all slept all night, except for Spencer!

Saturday was so nice. We got up around 8:30am had a nice leisurely breakfast and then started to get some things done. It was perfect. I got stuff ready for a BBQ, so when they got here I had lunch ready. It was so nice. Thanks again Lisa and Brian!
Spencer thinking he was so big eating a cookie!

Richard set up my Mother's Day gift which is a canopy swing for in the yard. I love it. Perfect to relax on while the kids are playing outside. If I have someone over with their kids we can sit comfortably and watch all the kids in the backyard. It's perfect. Thanks hunny!

Sunday morning I could hear a lot of whispering and kids telling me to stay in my room. Then they brought in their gifts. The girls each had a brown paper bag with a cute poem on it. It was part of my breakfast in bed. A juice box, and granola bar. Well I should say I got 3 apple juice boxes and 3 granola bars! Plus they made me a peanut butter toast sandwich, which they had cut into a heart shape. Richard said they did it all by themselves. So cute! Plus Richard made me breakfast of toast and eggs. So I had a lot to eat. The girls also gave me a cute place mat each, of their hand prints on it and a cute poem. It was a fun morning.

We got to church early so the primary kids could practice their mother's day song. DJ was having issues and was screaming over everything. So Richard took him out and ended up putting him in the truck in his car seat, where he promptly fell asleep (well after some screaming)! So Richard sat out there with DJ in the burb with the A/C on. We left church after I played for singing time. Then we went to Cardston for dinner. It was a little crazy over there and we didn't end up staying long. When my kids are getting in trouble for being too noisy outside, then it's time for us to go home! I didn't have the energy to keep telling my kids to be quiet as they were jumping on the tramp. What kid jumps on the tramp quietly. Really I would like to see it! ha ha!
My kids and I right before we went to church. It was so bright out, can ya tell?!

Cute DJ on my new swing. This was the next day, which was super hot out!

So we came home and I made a yummy treat for us to eat out on my swing. The kids thought it was great. I melted some yummy chocolate I had left over from Christmas. Then I cut up some pineapples, and had some other stuff to dip into the chocolate. It was very yummy. By this time it was bed time for the girls. It was a great weekend.
DJ digging into the chocolate!

I just basically emptied my cupboards and we dipped it in chocolate! There were teddy grahams, chips, pineapple and cookies!

Cadence showing me her chocolate dipped chip, and Brianna in the background.

Loved this cute picture of Cadence with her extra curly hair!

Abbi being really sad about her really loose tooth. Every time she took a bite of something it bent it straight out. She wouldn't let me touch it though. She finally pulled it out the next day!

Brianna dipping her chips. Took me some talking to get her to try something. Then she liked it. She's my girl that hates to try anything new, even if it is chocolate!!

Ten On Tuesday!

Lets face it, I don't think I'll ever do Ten on Tuesdays, like it's suppose to be! Oh well! This has been a great way of writing things down I would otherwise forget. I've checked out a few other blogs that do this and I find that they sometimes write down an old memory from growing up so I might do that once in a while too! Ok, I started this last Thursday and now it's Tuesday, so now I'll hurry and finish it and it'll be ten on Tuesday!!

1. Hate it when my vehicle breaks down. The suburban's transmission went on me last Tuesday. So I was without a vehicle for 4 days. Not fun. We rode our bikes everywhere. On the rare occasion we had to squish into truck....oh fun!

2. Counting down the days until school is over. Yeah! I can't wait.

3. I love taking cute pictures of my triplets!! I rarely call my girls triplet, but lets face it that's what they are and pictures of them together are super cute. I just hate it when people refer to my girls as triplets (probably why I never do it!), because they do have their own names!!

4. I solved our bike riding problems. DJ was refusing to go in the baby seat (I don't blame him), but not quite fast enough to keep up with his sisters. SO.....I bought an used tag-a-long bike. Best thing ever! He loves it and thinks he's such a big boy.
Don't mind my thumb at the top!!! But here's Richard and DJ riding their bikes together! So cute! DJ looks so big!

5. I had the best Mother's Day ever. It was fun to get the girls' gifts to me. So cute! Richard gave me a covered porch swing. I absolutely love it. Use it all the time! I can watch the kids play outside in comfort!

6. Am hating DJ's temper tantrums lately. Not sure what's been going on, but he sure can throw a LOUD temper tantrum. Usually it has to be in a public place. So embarrassing. Let's see it's happened walking down the hall in the school, he was screaming his head off. I was basically running down to the girls' room to get them, but DJ was freaking out the whole time. It's happened at the doctor's office, in the grocery store. I just keep shopping and he chases after me screaming. Oh the joys! We kind of skipped this when he was 2, so I guess were getting it now. Sheesh!
Here he is in a happy time. Good thing he is so dang cute!!! Love this boy!

7. I love, love, love me my Zumba nights!!! Seriously the funniest form of exercise ever! It took me a long time to actually go and try it. Then I was hooked. So fun. I'd like to think that I look as good as the instructor.....good thing there are no mirrors where I could see what I actually look like! ha ha ha!!

8. Abbi pulled her second tooth out. Talk about tears all day long about her loose tooth. She wanted it to come out but didn't want me to pull it. She was crying because it hurt to eat and she was hungry. It was cracking me up so bad. I told her to go into the bathroom to pull it out herself (it was just hanging there). She came out crying saying, "It's not coming out mom, I tried and tried..........(then in a happy voice) OH I just pulled my tooth out." And tada it was over with. So funny! That girl can be so dramatic at times! Love her too death.

9. Watched Eric cut down a BIG tree in their backyard. We had all the kids and us by the house ready to run. It was pretty crazy to watch. But it came down exactly where he predicted (by putting a log there). Very impressive!
Eric the mighty lumberjack!! ha ha! All the grand kids were in awe with their papa!!

10. Went on our first boat ride this year. It was at Echo Lake. We had a blast. We took our trailer down there and we are leaving it at the lake for the summer. The kids are super excited about spending lots of time this summer. So are we, it'll be fun.
Here we are just after our boat ride. It's very rare that we get the whole family in a picture. A storm was rolling in and it started to pour rain.

Brianna and Cadence sitting up front with Rachel.

DJ and I sitting together. He did not want a picture!

Richard and Abbi sitting in the back.

11. When I was growing up we always had to take the bus too school. It was always either my dad driving and then my Aunt Dixie took it over. Anyways everyday she would stop at the railroad tracks and open her door and open her window then shut them and go. I always imagined that a little mouse was saying by too his mom and getting on the bus. That memory came to me as I was driving bus lately. So funny, but I totally remember thinking that a mouse was getting on! Now that I really think about it though, of course it didn't happen, first off because my Aunt Dixie HATES mice and would of screamed!! ha ha! Anyways a funny memory of when I was growing up!

We Love New Babies!

No we are not pregnant. But April was the month of babies on both sides of our families. I love holding new nephews or nieces. So fun! On April 18, my brother Brent and his wife, Tiffani had a new baby girl, that they named Keira. She is so adorable! She was tiny too! I believe she was 6lbs 4oz (don't quote me but it was around that weight). I took the kids to go see them at the hospital one morning. My girls were very excited to meet their new cousin. They held her so carefully. Abbi was so in love with Keira. I think if we allowed it that she would just sit there and hold Keira forever. So cute! We are super excited for Brent and Tiff. They are awesome parents, and Keira is a sweetheart!
Me being a proud Auntie and holding Keira! I just got my hair cut the day before. It's different but I love it!

Cadence holding Keira. DJ held her first, but I missed getting a picture of it. He was just fascinated with watching Keira!

Abbi was in love holding Keira. She was so proud!

Cute Brianna holding Keira!

Aaww, what a cute little family! My little brother, Brent, with his wife, Tiffani and then cute little Keira!

Then I got a very exciting call at 9:30pm at night by my brother, Cody! I was a little confused at why he was calling. They weren't due till May 10th so I wasn't even thinking about a baby right then. They had him April 30th. Of course, Cody was laughing at me when I squealed at the news. So exciting. They had a baby boy, Even James Paxman. He weighed in at 8lbs 4oz (I think), but I do remember that he was 22 1/2" long. So tall! They live in Calgary so we didn't see them right away. The girls didn't have school on Friday, so we packed up and headed out by 9am on Friday. I had called ahead on Thursday and offered to bring Ali and Mary back with us for the weekend. It worked out perfect because my sister, Megan was heading back up to Calgary Saturday night. Anyways, back to cute little Evan. We got there around 11:30am. We were all excited to see him. He was sleeping. So I got to sit there and hold him for a long time. So sweet. I love holding newborns. They are just so precious. He has the Paxman stamp on him! Ha ha! He kind of reminds me of what DJ looked like, except Evan has blond hair. So so so cute! I am so glad we came up to see him. Way to go Cody and Emily, you got your boy!
Here is cute little Evan James Paxman!

I got him with his eyes open! So so cute!

Abbi just loves holding her new cousins!

Abbi took this picture, I was trying to show her what button to push by nodding my head, that is why I look so goofy!

Brianna also loves holding her new cousins. They are getting so good at holding little babies!

So there is our exciting news about our new little nephews and our niece. I did an earlier post on Justin and Tennille's little Ethan. He was born on April 3rd. He was blessed on Sunday so we got to go and hold him too! Love new babies! So nice to hold them and cuddle them and then when they start crying or are poopy, give them back!! ha ha!
