Ten On Tuesday!

1. Trayden got his Mission call a few weeks ago. We were all waiting for his call! When he got it we all met at my mom and dad's so he could open it with all of us there. We got Steve and Stacey on Facetime so they could watch too! It was super exciting. He opened it and read and he's going to Tahiti! Crazy!!! He's so excited!! He leaves on August 19th, to the Provo MTC, where he will learn the language there. So proud of Trayden. He's such a good kid. Proud to be his Aunt!!

He's going to Tahiti!

Mom made a donut cake to celebrate!!

Trayden and his friend Kyle are both going on missions about 3 weeks apart. Trayden leaves Aug 19 and Kyle leaves Sept 9 for Tennesse. So they will be in the MTC together.

2. So we decided to plant some trees. We got 10 Ash trees, and 10 Blue Spruce trees. They are big trees. Anywhere from 8ft to 12ft. It was a long process. But I was so excited to get more trees.

After with 10 blue spruce trees.

You can see 4 Ash trees along the lane.

3. Abbi was complaining the other day about her room being messy. So I told her to go start cleaning and I would come in later to help. She then told me that she wished Brianna shared a room with her. I was surprised. Then I started laughing....cause I figured out her thinking. Brianna is a neat freak and her room is always spic and span. Abbi then said, "Mom, Brianna always kept our room clean when we shared." Ha ha, so funny. It really cracked me up!

4. Richard took Leia for a run the other day. Leia took off after something and Richard realized it was a baby owl. He yelled at Leia to stop when the baby owl spread it's wings and flapped them at the dog. Leia stopped and was looking at the baby owl when all of the sudden the mama owl swooped down out of the tree and smacked Leia in the head with it's claws. It was crazy. Richard, actually videoed it on his phone. So we were all laughing over it. Then he got close to the owl to get a video when the mama owl swooped down at Richard. So funny. He was yelling in the video. Then the baby owl hopped off the hill and landed in the creek. Where it proceeded to swim across the creek with it's wings. So cool.
There's one of the owls up in the tree.

5. One Friday that we had off of school. We decided to go out and clean out part of the trees. All the kids came out and they were all helping. DJ was really into it and was encouraging his sisters to keep helping him. I heard him yell, "Come on partners, lets go get some more sticks." It was super cute.

Going for a ride in the trailer.

My hard working crew!

6. On Saturday it was a very rainy day. The kids were feeling cooped up so I took Brianna and DJ for a ride on the quad. Leia loves when we do that and she runs with us. It's good exercise for her. We went by one of the bird houses we put up last year and there was a cute bird sitting on top. The kids thought that was super cool!
We saw this cute little bird on one of the birdhouses. It made the kids so happy!

7. Richard helped Cody work on the boat out at my parents farm. I went out there to check on them and Richard was walking around with a greasy rag on her forehead held on with a bungi cord. He looked hilarious. He got hit in the head with a tiny piece of metal that sliced his head. It was tiny but it wouldn't stop bleeding.

Cody is a goof ball!

8. I need to do a post on David again. Lots of good things happening with him! One of the things is I got to go up one Friday and bring him and Jill home for the weekend. He got a weekend pass. I was super excited to bring him home. I got there and got to hang out with him for a bit, then the nurse came in and told him that he can take off his neck and back brace. He was just telling me that he was frusterated with his stupid brace. He was so excited. He asked, "Right now?", and they said yes. He started ripping off the Velcro. So funny! He was one happy guy. Then we got to go home. So fun to hang out with him and Jill.
David just got his braces taken off! So happy!

Bringing him home from Calgary.

9. One night I drove Richard's truck home from my parents farm. Richard was in the Escalade with the kids. I found his stash of candy and was snacking on it while driving. Then I drank his water from the water bottle. Well the next day Richard called me and asked if I backwashed in his water samples. He was a little annoyed. I was confused and then realized he meant from the water bottle. Luckily it wasn't a bad or gross sample. Oops. He wasn't very impressed. I told him he should label them or something. How was I suppose to know! Ha ha!

10. DJ is in soccer again this year. He was super excited about it and really loves it. I wasn't sure how it was going to work because I drive bus and it's right after school. So I drop him off at a friends, who takes him to the school and the girls pick him up and take him to soccer. I get there for the last 20 mins, to watch him play a game. It works out perfect! He's a good little player!

Go DJ!!

High Fives!!

Going For A Picnic!

I've really enjoyed taking pictures the last little while. Especially when I see the kids running around playing and it's just so beautiful outside. Last week I decided that I was going to mow around our new trees. Well that just snowballed into me basically mowing a field! Ha ha! I couldn't stop. Richard was laughing at me.....but the kids loved it. They would actually go out and play around the trees, because the grass wasn't up to their waists. Yup, it was a forest out there. So I'm glad I did it and it will be easier to mow next time. As I was mowing the last little bit, I noticed the kids came out with a blanket and snacks. They set up a little picnic under the big tree. It was super cute. I ran inside to grab my camera. I couldn't miss this opportunity!!

We were all super excited to hear when David got a weekend pass from the hospital. We all went out to mom and dad's after church on Sunday. David and Jill were both there. It was just amazing to see him out of the hospital. I was so close to tears just seeing him talking with everyone. He's is such a miracle.
