Days Off School!

The kids had no school on Thursday and Friday this week, so that means I didn't have to drive the bus those 2 days! Yahoo!! Ha ha! Nice to have a little break. Wednesday after bus and I got the kids we headed out to the farm so I could pick up the laundry. Richard was there with DJ. He took DJ out to work while I drove bus. DJ was in heaven. He took his big tool box that his dad gave him with some real tools, and he went to work!! He loved it!!

We picked up the boys and we headed to Lethbridge. I had to get a few things at Walmart that I forgot the day before. DJ is the Star of the week, next week and I needed to get pictures so we could get his poster put together. We also had to get a wireless modum for our house. Then we decided to go out for dinner at IHop. It was nice to be together as a family. It was a good night!

Thursday morning Richard went to work. But his van was out at the farm, so I told him to take the Escalade and I would run out to the farm for my exercise. He looked at me like I was crazy, but he went! Ha ha! I was determined to get the house clean so we could have some fun later on in the day. But first I had to go get the Escalade. I got all ready for my run and DJ started freaking out.....he wanted to come. I kept telling him it was way too far for him to run with me. But he wouldn't take no. So he got dressed and we headed out. I grabbed his bike and he rode the first 2kms on his bike while I ran behind him. Then when we turned onto the gravel road, we put his bike in the ditch and he ran and walked with me for the last 2kms. It was beautiful out with no wind and we were getting too hot with our toque and gloves on. He loved being with me and me with him!! Ha ha! We had a good talk. He has a HUGE crush on a girl at school. At first we laughed it off, but all he talks about is Nikki. He gave her a Christmas gift, which we thought was so cute. But the funny thing is when he sees Nikki he gets super shy and will whisper hi to her. It cracks me up. He keeps telling us that he is going to marry her. Oh man, it's so funny. My girls haven't done this....ever. It's so funny

Anyways, we made it out to the farm. We were both so thirsty!! It was an awesome work out. The guy from Shockware, was there putting in our internet. Yay!!! So exciting. I had to fill out some paper work and we were set up!!! Awesome!!

We then came back to the house and everyone went to work cleaning up. The kids were pretty helpful, and then they'd go out side and play for a little bit. But by the afternoon we had it nice and clean. We even went out to the farm and put in a load of laundry on our way to Cardston.

Steve and Stacey were going to be there in the late afternoon. We were all planning on meeting and eating at DQ and then going to Chase's basketball game. We were pretty excited to see them and Shaylee and Mikah. We ended up meeting them at the car wash....which was funny!! Then we followed each other down to DQ's!

Tiffani came with Keira and Emmett, and Mom and Megan and Chris too. There was a whole bunch of us. It was fun to all visit and eat together....even if it was at DQ's!! ha ha!! The kids had fun playing with their cousins. Love getting together.

Then we went to the basketball game. It was like a family reunion in the stands!! ha ha! It was fun to visit and cheer for Chase. He did awesome. My kids had fun running around with Shaylee. They had a blast chasing each other around. I miss seeing Stacey all the time and talking with her. So I enjoyed being able to catch up and spend time with her and her family. Even though it was only 1 night, it was fun! Chase's team won their game! They played so good. We said good bye to everyone and headed out.

We came back home and picked up Richard. I had packed clothes for everyone and we headed to my parents. Then we put the kids to bed. My mom was going to watch the kids for us on Friday. Richard and I had to leave the house by 5:40 on Friday morning, I was having my surgery that day. We had to be at the hospital by 6:20. We made it there by 6 and I realized I forgot my purse at my parents. So Richard took off and went and got it. He's a pretty awesome guy! I felt so bad, but he didn't complain! Sheesh, me and my forgetfulness!! But it all worked out. I was the first patient that day, so I didn't have to wait long to be taken into the operating room. Dr. Malach came in before they put me out and talked to me and made sure this is what I wanted and then told everyone in the room that I have triplets! Ha ha!! They all had to ask me questions! So funny! The operation went good and we were back home by 1:30pm the same day. I just layed down and relaxed.

Richard's parents took the kids Friday night and had them all day today too. Richard is just going to go get them tonight. I'm feeling a bit better. Grateful for a loving husband who didn't want to leave my side at all. Love him!

A Beautiful Day In January!

Last week we had some amazingly nice weather. Crazy nice weather for January. According to the radio we were breaking records with a high of 22 on one day and then we had a couple 18. That's nice! So I made sure we took advantage of the nice weather.

On Monday after I picked DJ up from school, we had lunch and then decided to go for a walk. Well, he wanted to ride his bike on the pathway and I ran behind him. It was good exercise! We went down the pathway to the bridge that the kids loved to catch minnows at in the summer. DJ wanted to get in to catch some! Ha ha! But I talked him into staying on the bridge! I love spending time with my boy.

He loved watching the water and he was trying to decide if that was a beaver dam in the water. So funny!

When the kids got home from school they went outside to explore and play. It was perfect! I ran out to the house to put some laundry in. I love that I can do laundry out there. No more Laundromats for this girl. That was such a pain and lots of money. It was a good day!

Oh, totally off topic, but I decided to write this down. It was just too funny and embarrassing....plus this is my family journal!!! I drive bus every day. The past couple weeks I've been trying to eat healthier and have focused on drinking lots of water. Well it was my first day drinking water all day long. I was doing good! I told DJ to go to the bathroom before we left and I went too. Away we went. We picked up the kids at the school. By the time I was pulling away from the school, I was dying. I had to pee so bad. Like really bad. I didn't know what I was going to do. I was trying not to think about it and just drive. Luckily, there wasn't a ton of kids on the bus and it was an easy run. I dropped more then half off and I was in so much pain......I just had to pee. Seriously, I was seeing yellow!! ha ha! I drove past my parents house and pulled into Rassmussen's (my cousins old house). I dropped off 5 kids there and that left 6 left in the bus. I made a quick decision to go back to my parents. I roared into the driveway, put it in park, turned off the bus and took the keys out. The kids were looking at me and I jumped up and said, "I'll be right back." And I RAN!! I was in and out in 30 seconds. Oh my, relief!! The kids didn't even care, 4 of them were playing a game together and the older 2 were zoned out with their ear buds in their ears. Wow!! Hopefully, that will never happen again! Ha ha!

On Tuesday, DJ was excited to go play at Zach Baker's house while I went driving bus. Somedays, he's so good with coming on the bus but other days he's crying and it's the end of the world that I take him on the bus. But the funny thing is, once the kids get on he always has fun with them. He's made some friends on there and it's fun to watch! So I try to set up a play date for him once in a while. He had a blast with Zach. They were outside digging a big hole when I pulled up. Zach's little brother, Preston, was running around in his swim trunks. Ha ha! It was pretty cute!

I picked up the girls from Steffeson's and they asked if Mia could come play and I said yes. So we came home got a snack and had everyone go bathroom and get their boots on. I bought myself some boots too. We decided to go out and enjoy this nice weather. We got out there and the kids went straight for the puddles. DJ went and got stuck again. But he didn't freak out this time! The had fun splashing in the puddles too!

Richard came flying up on the quad and DJ and I jumped on. The girls were running down to the creek. I got off and started taking lots of pictures!! DJ loves to fly around with his dad. He thinks it's so fun!

Then the girls walked over to the old corrals and wanted to explore that. DJ got back on the quad with his dad and they went flying around. Richard found the bulls and I was waiting to hear DJ scream!! Ha ha! But he didn't, he was laughing. You just never know with that boy!

As I was walking back up the hill, I noticed how cool the clouds looked over the house. It was just so nice out. So I took some pictures of the sky and house. Have I mentioned that I love my new camera!! I really want to take a course to learn more, but I still love taking pictures!! So fun!
