Wrapping Up The School Year!

So I thought I'd just do a big post on all the school end happenings. I thought that would be easier for me and I could get it done faster. So here it goes!

DJ'S PRE-SCHOOL PARTY

So DJ had his pre-school party out at a farm. They had a cowboy theme. He was super excited for his party. I went as a mom helper and am so glad I did. He ended up falling down the bus stairs right at the beginning. He was done. But I was able to talk him into being happy and trying! Yeah! They had 3 stations. The first they got to rope a pretend calf. Then ride a real horse. DJ was not going to ride the horse. But he got up there for a picture and they led him around. Good thing cause that ended up being his favorite part of the party!

He roped the calf!!

My very handsome Cowboy!! He insisted on wearing his Canadian cowboy hat!!

As they waited the boys found this HUGE sandbox and were all in heaven playing there!

Then they had pony races on the track. There was a cool little race track there. They all got to ride stryders and race around. It was a huge hit and super fun to watch them. So cute!!
My long legged boy on the tiny strider!! He had fun though!

Crossing the bridge! It was a cute little race track!

Then we got to go on a wagon ride, pulled by a horse named Dolly! The kids loved this ride. We went for about 10-15 minutes long. It was perfect! When we got back Mr. Wakefield took us into his barn to show the kids what he was making. He put in an elevator to get up to his loft. So all the kids got to go on a little ride!
DJ, Wake and Cooper sitting by each other on the wagon ride. Payton and Aria got to ride up front.

Then they headed back to the fish pond to get their school scrap book and a good bye hug from all the teachers. DJ had so much fun! This year ended up being good. It started out rough but he adapted (we both did) and he has learned so much and made lots of new friends!
Getting off the bus at the Fish Pond and everyone getting a popsicle!

DJ wasn't into giving hugs!! But here is Mrs. Jones saying bye to DJ!

GIRL'S FIELD TRIP TO WATERTON

The girls grade did a field trip to Waterton this year. I told them a while ago that I would drive the bus. We woke up Wednesday morning to pouring rain. So I got everyone ready, including myself, and away we went. I got the buses ready and off we went. By the time we got to Waterton the rain had stopped and the sun came out. It was beautiful there!

We went to a little theatre and watched a black light puppet show. Coolest thing ever! The kids loved it. I could hear DJ laughing through the whole thing. Oh yeah, DJ came with us too! Perks of being the bus driver! After the puppet show we had lunch right there in the theatre. They provided hotdogs, chips and a drink.
Brianna and Cadence standing with their class just outside the theatre.

Then they walked over to the park and the kids played for a bit. Then we walked over to the lake and the kids had a blast throwing rocks and playing in the water. It was so nice out. Not too hot or cold and no wind. We got some cool pictures of the classes before we decided to go.
Cute picture of Cadence and DJ going down the slide!

DJ was hot and tired and didn't want to move. Silly boy wouldn't let me take his coat off him either!

There's Brianna!

DJ had fun throwing rocks in and he found a really cool walking stick that he insisted on bringing home!

Abbi was brave and went in the water with a bunch of her friends!

Here's a picture of all the Grade Two's!

Here's Abbi's class, she's in Miss. Nelson's class.

This is Mrs. Oberg's class and Brianna and Cadence are right near the front.

We headed back to the bus and got ready to go. By this time DJ was exhausted. He was grumpy and didn't know what he wanted. So I got him on a seat by himself and got him all cozy! We had the nice bus with the comfy seats and they all have seat belts. I belted him in loosely and laid him down. I wasn't even out of Waterton before he fell fast asleep! Crazy boy! It was a fun day!

GRADES 1-3 GAMES DAY!

The day after the field trip was games day. I showed up with DJ and we stayed with the girls for a few hours. They had the waterslide open for anyone to go down. They had volleyball nets set up and all sorts of different games. The kids were allowed to do anything they wanted. I took some snacks for the girls to share with their friends and they were having a blast. DJ had fun playing with his sisters. That is until he got kicked in the face! Then we were done! ha ha! So we left. It was a fun games day!

Tessa and Brianna were busy playing Pokémon!!

Taylor and Abbi relaxing on their towels. They just got off the waterslide and were trying to get warm!

DJ's sisters are so good with him. Cadence set up a spot for him to lay down and relax too!

Cadence's turn to throw!

DJ was so proud that he got all the bean bags in a hole!

Playing soccer with the funny looking ball. This was when DJ got kicked in the face on accident!

TRIATHALON!

The girls were all involved in this years triathalon at the school. So the grade twos had to swim 2 widths of the pool. Then they had to ride three times around the track and then end it with running around the track once. They could either do it in teams or solo.

Cadence was in a team and she was the one that rode her bike around 3 times. By the third time around I could tell that she was getting tired. But she kept going. Then her team mate finished it off by running around the track once.

Brianna was in a different team and she did the swimming. It was a little crazy in the pool, but she swam across the pool twice and then her team mate took off on her bike!
Brianna ready to swim her two widths of the pool.

Abbi decided that she wanted to be a true athlete and do all three events by herself. She started off with swimming. I was standing by the pool so I could help her get her shoes on and her helmet. She was a determined little girl!!

She then ran to her bike. She jumped on and took off to ride around the track 3 times. She was doing so good. By the third time around she was slowing way down. I was yelling, "Way to go Abbi", and she'd smile and start peddalling harder. She did 3 laps and I took her bike and took her helmet off and she started to run. She only had to run around once. The poor girl was pretty tired by this point. But she took off. By 3/4 of the way around she started walking. I started running towards her yelling, "You're almost there Abbi, you can do it." She took off running and finished it. YEAH!! I was so proud of her! She did awesome!

Abbi just finishing her run! Way to go Abbi!

It was fun to cheer on all 3 of my girls. They are all so different and it's so fun to see how they can excel! Way to go girls!!

PIANO RECITAL

The girls had their year end recital for piano at the beginning of June. I think we were all ready for piano to be over!! They all did so well. They were excited to get up and play their pieces that they worked so hard to learn. Their teacher, Janae Hubbard, was so good with them. So glad we were able to find her! Way to go girls!
Cadence got her certificate and a chocolate bar from her teacher!! Love her smile!

Abbi with her certificate and chocolate bar. She has loved playing the piano!

Brianna with her certificate and chocolate bar! Brianna has loved just sitting down and playing the piano whenever.

My three cute and goofy girls showing off their treats and certificate. Way to go girls!!

Living In Our Trailer!

So we moved on May 31st into our trailer. We are living at the Covered Wagon in Magrath. We spent the whole week before packing and moving. It was a crazy week, to say the least. But we are now all moved out.

Life at the trailer has been interesting. We are trying to get back into our routine, but it's kind of hard when we are squished in a trailer. But I think we got it working!! Ha ha! The kids were still in school, so we still had to get up in the morning and off to school. I know that we entertain most of the older couples there.
Here's our home while we are building!

The kids have been having a blast with all the different wagons there. It entertains them for a long time!! There's also a playground there and a playhouse. They have so much fun organizing things and playing pretend. Our camp site is in the perfect spot, right by the play ground and bathrooms. I can sit on our big swing and watch the kids play from there. It's worked out great!
DJ and Beck playing on the swing set!

My cute boy sitting out on the deck with his cool Canadian cowboy hat!!
DJ standing by the old tractor that's right by our trailer!

DJ took a picture of me!!

We also discovered the walking trails behind the campground. So we have been going out there a lot. The kids will ride there bikes or scooters on the trails. It's been so nice. DJ and I went one morning just for a walk. I was showing him where I saw some foxes the night before. So we went to see them. We saw the fox den but no foxes this time.
DJ on our walk to see the foxes.

Abbi, Brianna and I decided to go for a longer bike ride after supper one night. The other two went for a walk with their dad. It was a long bike ride and we were all tired by the time we got back. But it was fun. The only bad thing was we kept getting little bugs in our mouth and eyes. Yuck!
Riding bikes on the trails with 2 of my girls!

Me and Brianna with our bikes.

Abbi and I! It was a fun ride!

Every Friday and Saturday night at 8pm, the camp ground owners give the kids a trailer ride. My kids love it. It's been a huge hit. They are the only kids at the camp ground right now. On the weekends a few more kids are usually there.
The kids getting ready to go for their ride!

He takes them everywhere. They have a blast!

DJ has really missed having a bath!! So one night he kept asking me if he could have a bath. So we filled up that tiny tub in the trailer and he had a blast in there for 20 minutes.  The hard parts is when it is pouring rain. We had a whole week of rain. That wasn't too fun!! We watched lots of movies, and played in the games room that is at the camp ground. Plus I took the kids out to my parents house so they could play too. So things have been working out!
DJ playing in the bath tub!!

The week of all the rain! We tried to keep things dry with tarps!

The kids watching the computer on our bed!

The creek was so high out at the farm.

So much water!

DJ and I went for a quad ride around the farm. He was worried about the bulls, because the quad is red!!

So that's our life in the trailer so far. It's been 3 weeks so far. Sometimes it's a little challenging but I'm trying to stay positive. THINK POSITIVE!!! It will work out!
