Ten On Tuesday!

1. Went for a family walk on our farm outside of Magrath. The kids were running everywhere and I reminded them to watch where they are stepping. Then Abbi pipes up and yells, "Yeah, don't step in the cow poop.....oh I mean cow litter." Ha ha ha! It was so funny. We've been telling them to watch what they say and she decided poop was a bad word. Bahahaha. So funny!

2. Abbi and Cadence made a cake all by themselves on the weekend. I was helping them flip it onto the rack to cool. It kind of broke and Abbi was upset. They were eating little pieces of cake that had fallen. Then I hear, "Oh I got a crunchie part." "Me too." I was a little curious so I took a closer look at the cake and I could see broken egg shell EVERYWHERE! I had to laugh. When Cadence told me she got a shell in the cake I assumed she meant a small piece. But no, she meant the whole egg! So that went in the garbage. Then I was helping them get the right ingredients out for the second cake. I grabbed the oil and Abbi told me she used a different kind of oil. She grabbed the bottle of vinegar and told me that's what she used. Oh boy! Good thing we ended up throwing it away! Love my girls!

3. Richard took DJ out to a movie on Saturday. DJ has really wanted to see the Lego Movie. So they went Saturday afternoon. DJ was pretty excited. It was super cute to see both of them head off together. Love my boys! They had a good time. DJ even came home with a new remote control car!

4. Sunday morning I came out into the kitchen to find all my kids eating cake and ice cream for breakfast. No joke. They actually ate a lot. They had a very helpful dad dishing out the ice cream! Ha ha!
Nothing like cake and ice cream for breakfast, while watching Netflix!!

5. Had a scary experience with Abbi and the quad. She likes to drive it when I am on with her. She ran and asked her dad if she could drive. So away they went. He was sitting behind and things were going good. She all of the sudden turned sharp and hit the throttle at the same time. Richard went flying off and landed on his back. Luckily, Abbi stopped and the quad came to a stop. Nobody was hurt. But it really scared them and me when they told me. Sheesh. Lesson learned.
Their face expressions say it all. This is when they came back.

6. I've had a terrible cold for a week and am finally feeling a lot better. No fun!

7. We found a house that we can rent. So excited. It's even closer to our farm, but still in town (barely). Plus it has a big Quonset that Richard can put his work stuff in.

8. Brianna and DJ both started soccer yesterday. They were both very excited. It was a beautiful day and they had a lot of fun.

9. We've been having problems with our Escalade. We FINALLY figured out what it was. It's been going on for over a month. I would be driving and my brakes would go on. Anyways, a long story short. Someone put the wrong oil in the brake fluid. So it has wrecked everything to do with brakes. Not very impressed. I guess someone had it out for us. Sheesh. Three thousand dollars later!

10. Only 8 weeks left of school. Yeah!!

Ten On Thursday!

1. We've had some pretty crazy weather, but what's new!! We had a lot of snow one day. It was perfect to make a snowman. It was warm out but we still had lots of snow. DJ came home from pre-school and went right outside to make a snow man. But then he decided to just make the biggest snowball he could!
DJ worked hard out there rolling up his big snow ball!!

Love him!

2. I came out of the school after taking DJ onto the stage for PUF, and saw Cadence and Brianna out in the falling snow with their class. They were taking the temperature of the snow. It was so cute to watch them. I had to take a picture!
Brianna, in the pink and Cadence, in the green pants. They had fun!!

3. We watched conference at Richard's parents house on the Sunday. The kids did so good in the morning. They all stayed down their with us and watched. I got them some conference bingo cards and we helped them cover them with marsh mellows when they heard the speaker talk about anything on their cards. I really enjoyed listening to the talks.
Watching conference and busy doing the bingo cards!

4. We've had a lot of sickies in our house lately. Abbi came home from school one day crying. She went straight to my bed and fell asleep. That is not normal. I took her to the doctors the next day. She had an ear infection. I took DJ in, cause he kept crying that his throat hurt. Poor kid. He was so brave, and even let the doctor swab his throat. So I got him an ice cream cone afterwards.
Abbi sound asleep in our bed.

DJ was in heaven eating his nice cold ice cream cone!!

5. We went to the Kids Show in Lethbridge one Saturday. The kids did the bike rodeo. They all had fun doing it and learning the right signals. DJ was super shy, but he still listened and did what he was suppose too!
Abbi, DJ and Cadence going through the course!

Brianna, in the pink coat, ahead of everyone!

6. We watched a show on the stage. Different Polynesian dances. They did the Hukka dance. My kids thought it was hilarious. They showed me their cool Hukka faces!!
DJ's cute Hukka face!!

My cute kids!!

7. We saw some cool pets at one of the stands. My kids even got to touch a cute baby turtle. Plus they all got a air sprayed tattoo. It was a fun afternoon!

Cadence wouldn't hold it but she did pet it!

Brianna loved holding the turtle too. Cadence almost dropped it!! Ha ha!

8.  Oh they got to go inside a fire truck too. DJ was in heaven, he loved that!
Abbi and DJ up in the fire truck.

My kids loved sitting in the fire truck.

9. My kids are funny and say the funniest things sometimes. Lately, DJ will come up to me and say, "What time is it mom?" I will answer by saying, "It's 10:30 (or whatever time it is)." Then he will say, "What does that mean, just tell me." He says this at least 10 times a day. Cadence will say to me, "Mom, I'm hungry like a pickle." She says this means that she's super hungry! Funny kids!

10. My little boy is not so little anymore. We went to get him Sunday shoes yesterday and I had the guy measure DJ's foot. I was blown away when he told me DJ's shoe size. I didn't believe him at first. I've been shoving this poor boys foot into size 13 1/2 shoes and this guy says DJ is a size 2, but should be in a 2 1/2. What???? It blew me away. He's been growing so fast. I just bought him new size 1 shoes about a month ago. Poor boy, no wonder he's been crying on Sundays and refusing to wear his size 13 shoes. Sheesh. I felt bad. So now he has brand new shoes, his right size.
My big boy, racing cars on his track he set up!!

Getting his cars out of the bucket!!

Clogging Recital!

The girls had their clogging recital last Thursday. They were all pretty excited about it. We were too! Then clogging is done! Yeah!! Ha ha! I love when things start wrapping up! They are finished choir too! Anyways, they had to be there at about 5:30pm on Thursday night. It was a little bit crazy. I had to drive bus in Raymond and be back to pick the girls up from piano by 4:30. Then we had to hurry home and get supper made and do all their hair and make up. Sheesh, it was just a little crazy in our house! But we made it and we were only a little bit late!

They were doing two numbers. They were all sitting on the side lines in order, according to the program. So I ran over and got a picture of my girls with their class. There's only 5 in their class. They all have a lot of fun together.

Their first number was a sailor one. I videoed them doing it. We love watching clog. It's so cute. I didn't get a picture of them dancing, but we've loved watching the video over and over!
Cute Sailors!!

Then their second number was Siamese Cats! They were so stinking cute! Seriously, so cute! They did so good. Cadence was cracking me up. She made a cute cat! They all did!
Abbi, Brianna, Mia, Cadence and Lillie! What cute cats they are!!

Afterward, we gave the girls their own flowers. Then we took some pictures of them and then with their teacher, Quincy. It was a fun night. We came home and I got a picture of the girls with their flowers in their own vase!

So proud of my girls!! They were super excited to get their own flowers!!

Abbi, Cadence and Brianna with their teacher, Quincy!!

DJ, Cadence, Abbi and Brianna all squished into the back of our rental car! Cuties!

DJ's Family Fun Day!

DJ had his family fun day at pre-school last week. The funny thing is, he was being super grumpy and didn't want to go. He had been so excited about it and then the day of, he didn't want to go. I finally got him dressed and out the door. He drug his feet right into the school. Then he didn't want to take his coat off or put on his name tag. I helped him, and then I got in trouble for doing that (by his teacher). I was a little bit annoyed, but I realized she's just being a teacher!! So I didn't take offense!
DJ finally got dressed and then he was being a snake. Here he is ready to bite me!!

We were getting ready to go into the gym, when Abbi came up to me. She knew I was coming and it was recess time, so she came and found me. I took one look at her and knew she wasn't feeling very good. So I went and found her teacher and told her I was taking Abbi. She agreed with me that Abbi was sick. The poor girl was fevered and just feeling awful. So I made her a bed on the bleachers and she laid there the whole time.
My poor sick girl! She really wasn't feeling good.

There were 5 stations. Our first station was the pirate ship. There were 5 little activities we did there. We sailed a ship, sank a ship, tossed rings onto hooks, sailed across the water and walked the plank. DJ thought it was the BEST! He especially liked to sword fight on the plank. He thought it was so fun!
DJ in the little ship, and we sang, "Sail, sail, sail your ship!"

DJ swabbing the deck!

Way to go matey!

I missed him swinging across but he made it, there's his feet!

DJ walking the plank with his sword. Don't let the sharks get ya!

Tossing the coins into the treasure chest!

He took it very seriously and did very good!

Then we went to the snack station. That is self explanatory. We had some pirate snacks and got our pictures taken on the pirate ship.
My cute boy and I on the pirate ship!

Then we went to the craft station. Where DJ made a beaded necklace and then he made a telescope. He had a fun time there. He was very good at counting out the beads and making sure he was doing it just perfect!
You can see his necklace around his neck and he's showing me his telescope!

Then we went to the treasure station. They got to dig for treasure in the sand. That was a huge hit. They all had a blast there.

Finding some treasure!

DJ and his friend Wake! They are only 2 months apart in age....but DJ towers over Wake!

The cutest pirate ever!!

Then we got the bouncy house station. Of course that was a huge hit too. All the little boys would chase DJ down and tackle him down together. It got a little wild in there but they all had fun. DJ is so big compared to most of the kids in his class. Even though they are all the same age!
Having fun in the bouncy house!

It was a lot of fun. He was so happy he went. Then they drew a name for the door prize and DJ won!! He was shocked and super excited. Way to go DJ!! It was a fun morning!

Poor Abbi was pretty miserable. So I took her home and she was on the couch for the rest of the day. I got her to the doctors and she had tonsillitis. Poor girl! She's doing better now.

SOLD!!

I mentioned in the last post that we were putting our house up for sale. I should of said, houses! We put our rental up for sale in Lethbridge and our house here in Magrath up for sale too. So our house in Lethbridge sold within 2 days of putting it up. It was crazy how fast it went. Our realtor kept telling preparing us, incase we got some really low offers. Well that didn't happen. We had 2 people putting offers in close to the same time. The first offer was $2500 below offering price. We were really happy with that. The 2nd offer was asking price. Then the realtor had to let the first guy know that there was a competing offer. So he came back with an offer of $2500 over offering price. So we signed papers and it will be final next Thursday. Crazy! We were feeling so blest with the sale of that house. A little sad too! This was our first house we bought together. We bought it a year into our marriage. It has been a great house. The kids were a little sad about it too!

We weren't expecting our Magrath house to move really fast. There are so many people here with their houses up for sale. Two neighbours have their houses up for sale too. That's why we decided to put it up so soon. We have friends (a few of them), that have had their houses up for sale for over a year now. We were having a hard time with putting a price on our house. I found our realtors weren't too helpful in that area....at all. We had our other realtor (who sold our house in Lethbridge) give us some advise. We really appreciated that. We thought about the price for about a week. We came up with a price and felt good about it. We told our realtors and they told us not to expect it to sell fast. We felt like it was a really fair price, not over priced.

I've been decluttering and packing up stuff that we aren't using right now. Just to make it so much easier to keep clean. We had a showing one Saturday but that couple wasn't interested. Then we had another one the next Thursday. I hurried and cleaned that morning and had to be gone by 10am. I left with Cadence (she was sick) and we drove around town. We got some errands done. We came back and noticed they were still there. So we went and visited the Orr's!

Anyways, the couple liked it and put in an offer. It's actually someone from our ward. We know them. They came in $900 below asking price. I was stunned and so was Richard. We looked at each other in shock. The sellers are planning on finishing fixing up the house and landscape and flipping it. They told us before they put a offer in. So the only condition was for us to sell it as is. We still needed to do the backsplash and finish the island, but now we won't. This is what they do. They are builders and he does everything himself. We took their offer. So now we have to be out by June 1st! Crazy!!
So sad, here's our house in Magrath!

So now I need to keep packing and dejunking. Our plan is to stay in our trailer for the summer. Then we will see where we are at with the house at that point. We are hoping to start digging in the next couple of weeks. So exciting. It's really happening. We feel like we've been really blessed and this is what we are suppose to be doing. It's always been our plan to build on the Spencer farm land. It's just taken us a lot longer then we thought. But it's going to happen! Yeah! The kids are super excited and so are we!

So that's our exciting news!
