Ten On Tuesday!

Now that I am all caught up, I need to get back into the swing of things and start blogging more! So let's do Ten on Tuesday! I always enjoy doing these posts! It helps me to blog about the little things that goes on in our lives!

1. Took the kids sledding last Monday and they had a blast. We finally found a perfect hill to go sledding on! We didn't last too long, because the wind was freezing cold. The girls would of stayed longer but I made them come home.....so mean!! ha ha!
Brianna coming down on the blue disc!

The kids at the top of the hill!

Brianna and DJ!

Cadence coming down!

DJ playing in the snow!

Abbi going down the hill! It was a fun afternoon!

2. We've had some amazing sunsets this past week. I love watching the sky turn different colors. I had to take a picture but it doesn't do it justice.
This picture was taken with my camera.

And this one with my I-Pad. Love the sky so pretty!

3. Cadence was moved into her room upstairs. We turned the "reading" room into her room. She was pretty excited. Her sisters were too. It was getting too crowded in their room and bed time was getting to be a little crazy. It was a very GOOD thing. Bed time has been 100% better. Cadence has been sleeping better too. Not so many nightmares....probably because her room is right beside ours!

4. We had a couple weeks where everyone was taking turns getting sick. It was not a fun time. Most of those days the kids stayed in their jammies. DJ did too, even when he wasn't sick. On one of those days I got DJ a big puzzle and he put it together with his dad. He loved it and was so proud of himself. He kept saying too me, "Mom that too hard for you (I'm horrible at puzzles), I hep you!"
DJ so happy he got a fireman puzzle!

It turned out to be a HUGE puzzle and he loved it! As you can see, it was also a jammie day!!

5. During the two week holidays that the girls had off school, we were busy. It was fun to play with different friends and do some fun things. I came home one Saturday from playing at a baptism and found DJ and dad sound asleep together. It was pretty cute.

6. One day last week it was so nice in the morning. There was hardly a breeze. So after we dropped the girls off at school DJ and I came back and got ready to go for a walk. He insisted on me pushing him in the stroller, silly boy. He brought some carrots with me and we took off looking for some hungry horses. On the way a dog decided to join us. He was a crazy dog that kept jumping on me and DJ. We found the horses and DJ ran up to feed them some carrots. It was a fun morning!
Crazy dog chasing DJ! DJ thought it was funny for a minute and then he had enough!

DJ being so brave and feeding the horse a carrot!

7. With the New Year, I've decided to start exercising more. I was doing pretty good before the holidays but then did nothing during the holidays. So I've been going to morning Zumba on Mondays and Fridays. Then I do Zumba Tuesday night and then again on Saturday morning. I take my girls with me on Saturday. They really love it and I think it's fun to do exercise with them. DJ had to come one Saturday, because his dad had to work. He was not impressed...at all! I brought my I-pad and I thought he was playing games, but no he took a bunch of pictures...so here's a few!

I look a little crazy here....but I love that he got all 4 of us in the picture!!! My 3 skinny legged girls in their zumba clothes!!!

8. I had a party here for Signature HomeStyles. They sell a lot of neat things to help you organize your house. They also sell a lot of decor. I really didn't want to do the party but decided too, so I could get some of the things I wanted for cheaper. Well it was a huge success. I was able to get $200 worth of free things and then up to 7 half price items. It was awesome. I can't wait till they come in the mail!

9. The kids kind of have a habit to sit on the couch and walk cartoons on my computer or I-pad in the morning. We don't have t.v., so this is how they watch their cartoons. DJ always has to have a cup of hot chocolate right when he wakes up too. It's pretty cute to watch him cuddle and watch his cartoons. Then he is ready for the day. The girls have a harder time, because I don't let them do this on school days, unless they are all ready then they can sit down!

10. I feel like the mornings lately, have been a little "CRAZY"!! There is always something that's going on, or someone crying or having a fit. Drives me a little crazy!!! For example, last week, Cadence was freaking out over her socks. She kept saying that they hurt her feet and she hates them. I told her to hurry up because we are ready to go. So 2 mins later she comes skipping out the Bear and gets in. I looked at her and asked, "So do you have socks on?" She smiled and said, "Uh, I'm not telling you." Goofy girl! Then this morning as I was doing Brianna's hair in two small pony tails, pulled into a big pony tail (did the same with Abbi's hair). Abbi came into the bathroom and said, "Oh Brianna you have two cow ears too." Then she laughed. She was talking about the two bumps from the pony tails. Anyways, Brianna broke down crying, and screaming, "I DON"T HAVE COW EARS!!" It was kind of comical! I explained what Abbi meant, and then Brianna laughed! Sheesh, crazy mornings!

11. DJ is one goofy guy. He cracks me up and I love having him with me all the time. I don't know what I'm going to do when he starts going to school. So sad! Good thing we still have some time!
We made piggies in a blanket one night and he insisted on eating it with a big stick. He did eat the whole thing too!

Here is the proof that he is a Goofy Guy!!! ha ha!
I think DJ gets his goofiness from his dad! ha ha! Here's Richard being a real fruit!!!

Hope everyone is staying warm on this freezing cold day. DJ and I have been cleaning and baking. We also made some yummy home made soup. Can't wait till supper time!

Happy New Year!

We are very very boring people!!! I kept thinking that we needed to call people to figure out something fun to do for New Years Eve. But, yeah, that didn't happen. Kids were taking turns being sick too, so we decided to stay home. Richard stopped at M&M's and picked up a bunch of finger foods. I made that for supper and we watched movies and munched away! It was a fun evening. We put kids to bed at a normal time, around 8pm. Before they went to bed, we counted down and yelled, "HAPPY NEW YEAR!" The kids thought that it was great!!!

On New Years Day, we all slept in and then started to get things ready for the day. My family booked my parents church this year. So we were meeting people there around 12:30pm. My kids were super excited to go play with their cousins. We packed up a bunch of games and toys to keep them busy.

We were the first ones there so we started to set up tables and got the kids stuff in and they were running around in the gym! People started showing up and so did the food! It was fun to snack on the yummy food everyone brought. We got our plates of food and we got a game of Rook going with some people. We were in the middle of the game when I saw Steve and Stacey walk through the door with their kids. I gasped and everyone turned and mom screamed! They surprised us. We had no idea they were coming! It was an awesome surprise and we had so much fun visiting and laughing with them!
Keira kept blowing at me!!!

This was when Steve and Stacey came. That's Chase on the crutches (had knee surgery).

Us girls sat around and told stories and laughed!

We stayed all day at the church. It was a lot of fun. The guys went out and did some archery. I think we got by with no one getting hurt because of it!! ha ha! It was pretty chilly out, so nobody lasted too long outside.
Drew and Cody shooting with the bow.

Richard giving it a try. I laughed at this picture because he lots so small standing between Drew and Cody!!

Brent and David shooting the target.

Cody trying to distract David...it didn't work!! ha ha!

The kids played hard in the gym. DJ brought his tractor and trailer and had a blast riding that everywhere. I think all the kids had a blast with it. The funniest was watching Keira getting a ride in the trailer. She loved it. So did Evan. So cute!
DJ flying around the gym on his tractor!

Anna giving Keira a ride in the trailer! Keira loved it!

I think they were playing dodge ball here with Grandpa!

Ali giving Evan a ride in the trailer! He was all relaxed and enjoyed the ride!

There was always a game going and we had puzzles going in the other room. I also set up some kids games and they had fun doing that too! My kids were in heaven with their older cousins their. They all love Trayden, Chase, Mikah and Shaylee!!!
DJ and Mikah playing Haystack memory!

Ali and Cadence playing their treasure game!

Aunt Deb, dad and Grandpa working on a puzzle together!

We had supper and stayed for a bit longer. I started to get a pounding head ache and decided it was time to go home. Oh, I should mention that Ken and Deb and Drew came. So did Maureen and most of her kids. Then Linda and Rus came and Theron, Renee and their family and Tyson came also. It was fun to visit with everyone! A great way to start out the New Year!
Everyone just sitting around and visiting!

My girls sitting with Mikah and eating supper!

DJ didn't want to get off his tractor. So Richard, being the awesome dad he is, sat there with DJ's plate and DJ ate the whole thing! Silly boy!

I Have 3 Seven Year Olds!!!!

Yup, my girls turned 7! So, so crazy! It started it very crazy, because Brianna woke me up in the middle of the night throwing up. She threw up ALL night long. Poor girl, I felt so bad for her, being so sick on her birthday. Luckily by later that morning she wasn't throwing up and was feeling a bit better. She was exhausted though. I had planned to take the girls to a movie. Brianna wanted to stay at Grandma's house. So I took Abbi, Brianna and DJ and Anna (Cam's girl) came with us. We followed Emily too. DJ and Mary went with Evan and Aunt Emily. I had all the girls in my Caddi!

Anyways, funny story. On the way out to the farm I was telling the girls about the day they were born. I told them that I had a C-section and had to further explain that they cut my tummy and pulled them out that way. They were all fascinated. I explained that it wasn't the normal way. They asked what happened with my tummy and I said the doctor sewed me up. Well DJ then piped up and said, very excitedly, "Just like Woody. The magic man sewed Woody's arm and fixed him. The doctor fixed you?" It was so cute!!

When we were driving to the movies I over heard Abbi and Cadence telling Ali and Anna about how they were born. It was pretty funny to listen too! We got to the mall and it was MADNESS! I kept driving around and couldn't find a place to park. I saw that Emily had parked and was walking up to the doors. So I stopped amidst the crazy drivers and got the kids out and ran them over to Emily. I know crazy, but it worked. Then I got back in and noticed someone behind me and backed out and left. So I went flying backwards and parked. Perfect!! We got in to the movie, "Rise of the Guardians". All the kids loved it. They were all really good too. It was a fun time.

We came back to the farm and had lunch and let the kids play together. All the guys were out shooting their bow and arrows! We just hung out. Then I took off so I could finish getting the house clean and cakes decorated for the girls' birthday. They were super excited. We just had dinner by ourselves and invited people over for cake and ice cream. It was much easier. I made each of the girls their own cakes. They had fun picking them out.

It was a pretty relaxing evening. The girls were super excited about having some family over for their party. We had them do their pinata first. Cam came with his 3 girls, so that made it fun! So funny to watch them try so hard to hit it! Richard wasn't the happiest about holding the stick. Oh well, it worked and he didn't get hit!
Brianna hitting the Castle Pinata!

Abbi taking a whack at it!!

Cadence in motion!
DJ was making all the girls laugh at him.....can ya tell!! What a goof ball!

Then we came up and sang happy birthday to them and had cake and ice cream. There was a lot of cake to choose from! We had lots of cake for about a week! Well, maybe not that long, but there was a lot of cake!
Here are the cakes. Cadence picked the flower, Abbi picked the gum ball machine and Brianna picked the gingerbread man.

Singing happy birthday to the birthday girls and to Grandpa Spencer!!

Blowing out the candles!

Then it was present time. I let them open the present from us first. They each opened an envelope and they each got a gift certificate for a stuffed animal and outfit at Build A Bear. They were super excited about that. We did that a couple days later! Anyways, they were spoiled by all the presents. So fun to see them get so excited!
Opening their cards from mom and dad.

Showing off their presents!

Cadence showing off her new "Brave" doll and horse. I love how their hair totally match!

Abbi finally got a Lala Loopsy doll!

Brianna with her presents!

Cadence drawing on her present from Grandma and pa Paxman. It hangs on a door. Such a cool idea!

Brianna busy playing with her new toys!

Love this picture I found on my camera of Brianna's socks!

It amazes me at how big my girls are getting. I probably say it all the time, but it's crazy how fast time flies. I remember bringing them home from the hospital like it was yesterday. All those feelings of inadequacies and just being over whelmed. But we loved them so much and we can't imagine our lives without our triplets!! I always get the comments of how they are glad it's us and not them and I'm so HAPPY that it's us!!! My girls are so different that sometimes I forget that they are triplets. They are so fun to be around. I will write down 7 things about each girl!

Abbi:
1. Loves doing new things! Has been learning how to play the piano and LOVES it!
2. Takes forever to go to sleep at night, every night, and would sleep in every day if she could!
3. Absolutely LOVES babies. If there is a baby around, Abbi will be there. She will sit down and play with Keira, Ethan or Evan for a long time. The babies love her attention too. It's so cute!
4. Really enjoys reading. It's fun to watch her get excited about that!
5. Has pulled 2 of her teeth out and is waiting for more loose teeth to come.
6. Is getting very tall (she's about 2 inches taller then her sisters).
7. Only will let me put her hair in a big pony tail. Refuses to let me do anything else lately!! Funny Girl!

Brianna:
1. Has very thick and long hair. We finally went and got it thinned out and a special brush so there isn't tears every morning when I'm doing her hair. Loves to tell me what to do in her hair that day!
2. Is very organized. Will organize her drawers, shoes, toys...everything. Then she'll come start organizing my stuff. So funny!
3. Also loves to read to us and is very good at it!
4. Will spend a LONG time just sitting down and coloring or drawing a picture. She colors better then I do!
5. Loves to write Richard and I notes. She will hide them in places where we find them later.
6. Has a little temper. The funniest things set her off and she'll fold her arms and just glare and then stomp off and hide somewhere. Happens quite a bit. But I give her time and she will eventually come up and apologize and give me or her siblings a hug.
7. Is so good at playing with her brother. She does such a good job and DJ loves it when she does.

Cadence:
1. Has a LOT of energy. I found clogging is such a good way for her to get some of that energy out!
2. Loves to tease her siblings. It sometimes gets a little crazy, because she doesn't know when to stop!
3. HATES going to the dentist. Crazy girl!
4. Really works hard at school. She sees her speech teacher or assistant 3 times a week. She's been doing awesome with her speech. Her tutor comes twice a week after school. I thought she'd burn out, but she LOVES it!
5. Is one determined girl. If she gets something in her mind, there is no talking her out of it! This can be a good and bad thing!!
6. Will occasionally wake up in the middle of the night and just want to "snuggle"! So funny!
7. I love her sense of fashion! It's so refreshing and it's so fun to see what she decides to wear every day! So, so cute!!

So that's a summary of their birthday and of my 3 Seven year olds! So crazy! I was really dreading them getting this old, but I have to say it's a lot of fun! I love doing different things with them. Oh a couple days after their birthday we took them in to Build A Bear. They loved picking out their own animal and then the outfit. DJ decided to use his Christmas money from Great Grandma and Grandpa Spencer and build one too!
Pushing the button and catching a falling star.

DJ caught a falling Leaf!

Holding the leaf or star and making a wish before putting it into their stuffed animal.

The finished products! Cadence with her Unicorn, which she named "Jolene", DJ with his wolf which he calls Wolfie, Brianna with her kitty which she named Princess Kitty, and Abbi with her Bunny which she named Rosie.
