Ten On Tuesday!

Oh my, I've been having some major computer problems. But I got my computer up and running again, so I thought I'd post something! Lots has been happening lately. So here I go in no particular order!

1. The other night I was getting ready for bed and came and sat on the bed. I wear my slip on shoes everywhere in my house. So I kicked them off. As I was sitting there I sniffed and then jumped up. I told Richard that it smelled like a dead mouse. I hurried and checked the 3 traps we have in our room! The joys of living right by the back door, when the kids forget to shut the door. They were all empty. I was freaking out a bit. I even got on the floor and was looking under the bed. Then I was by my shoes and grabbed one and sniffed and I about died. Seriously, so disgusting. It smelled like a dead mouse was in my shoe. So gross. I was coughing and ran the shoes and threw them in the washer. First I filled them up to the top with the stain stuff and then washed them. So gross! Ha ha!

2. The end of January I was asked if I would do more hours with the Magrath Handi Bus. I said yes. Well 2 weeks later it ended up that I am the main driver and am in charge of everything. Wait....what?! Seriously, it was kind of crazy how it happened. So now I drive the school bus and the Handi bus when I can. Crazy, eh?!

3. Richard surprised me.......I mean like crazy surprise that I never even dreamed that he would do. We are going to Hawaii in May!! YAHOO!! I am super duper excited. He told me he'd never go back and I believed him. I can't believe we are going. We are going from May 4- 12! So exciting. The kids are a little miffed that we aren't taking them. We are calling it our 15th Anniversary gift! We are going with my parents, Megan and Chris and his parents and 2 sisters. I think we will have a blast!

4. Brianna and Cadence sang with the MES choir at a Lethbridge Hurricanes Game. So we all went to the game to watch them and see the game. It was a lot of fun. David and Jill met us there and we had fun hanging with them too!

5. On January 11th, it was Shelly's 60th Birthday. Eric had put together a surprise party for her. She had no idea. We came over to Grandma and Grandpa Bowlby's house. We all hid our vehicles and hurried and helped decorate quickly. We were all sitting there waiting. Eric told Shelly that he was taking her to Lethbridge for dinner. But first they had to stop at her parents house to get something. So they were coming in and we all yelled "SURPRISE"!!! It was so fun. She was very surprised. We had fun eating dinner with them and spending time with Shelly!

6. Abbi decided to play basketball this year. She signed up herself and it was basically a way to improve the basketball skills. It is every Tuesday at 7am in the morning. Sheesh! Ha ha! But I've been very impressed with her. She gets up and gets ready and I take her in. She has been loving it!

7. Also about Abbi, she has loved wearing her camo skirt to church. She hates wearing dresses or skirts but will tolerate her camo one! Ha ha!! Like mother like daughter. Make me laugh! Talking about dresses, I was asked to come help at a wedding reception. So I brought my girls. But Abbi decided not to come when she found out she had to wear a skirt! Ha ha! But Brianna and Cadence and I had a blast. It was a dessert reception. We got to sample them and they were delicious. Then the girls and I would clear the tables. They had so much fun!

8. Cam and Kim came over and I took their engagement pictures for them. They were so excited! They are getting married on August 27th. We are excited for them! It was fun taking their pictures!

9. I love taking pictures of the kids just around the house. Sometimes they are being goofy or sometimes they are zoned out watching tv! Ha ha!! So here are some pictures of my kids!

10. We went to the kids family dance at the beginning February. They were all excited to show us their stuff! David and Jill came and so did my mom and dad. They had two extra dances at the beginning. The first was Under the Sea done with the parachutes. It was so cute. Then they did a mob dance. It was so cute too! DJ did his dance which was the Bunny Hop. Then the girls dance was Ice Cream Freeze. They all did so good!! After the dance David and Jill took the kids to Winks for Ice Cream! It was fun!
