Christmas Eve 2016!!!

So Christmas Eve ended up on a Saturday this year. We got the house nice and clean and caught up on laundry in the morning, while Richard ran a few loads to the dump. Then we were ready to go to Cardston for the rest of the day. We were getting together with all the Spencer's at Richard's parents place.

My kids were all pretty excited about celebrating Christmas Eve with their cousins. We got there and they played for a bit then we got all ready and went to the hotel to go swimming. Grandma rented it again this year. They all had a blast. I opted out of swimming but watched for a bit and took some pictures!

Then we came back and helped get supper all ready and then we ate. It was a simple but delicious supper of taco potatoes! It was a relaxing evening with kids playing together and adults visiting. Lisa and Shelly made a game for the kids and adults to play. We had to unwrap a saran wrapped ball while another person is shaking 2 dice. When they get a double number then we pass the ball. There were lots of treats and toys through out the ball. The kids had a lot of fun. It was hilarious with the adults too!

DJ and Spencer playing on the Ipad together. These two are so cute together.

The girls got to do their own ball of saran. They had so much fun!

Then the boys had fun unwrapping their own too.

The kids all with their big, colorful punching balloons!
Then the kids were all excited to open their Christmas Eve presents. They always know what it is, but not exactly. I got them some jammies and a book each. They were all super excited and couldn't wait to go change into their new jammies. I got the girls some super soft pants with a shirt. DJ got a onsie piece.

Then we went downstairs so Grandma could pass out her presents to everyone. She worked so hard over the past 2 years on the girls' quilts. They all looked so amazing. She sure spoiled her grandkids! It was fun watching the kids open their presents and be so excited.

DJ opening his present from Grandma and Grandpa Spencer. It was a big blanket!

And a really cool looking Lego man light.

There's Jasmine with her blanket.

Ella with her beautiful blanket from Grandma.

Abbi was so excited to get her blanket. Grandma even put on her initials on the bottom of the blanket.

Brianna was super excited too. The blanket was perfect for her, with all the beautiful butterflies.

Cadence with her blanket. She loves it and was excited too!!

All the kids curled up in their blankets ready to watch a movie!
We headed home after the kids watched a movie for a bit and some of us played a game of rook. It was snowing pretty good on the way home. I loved it! We got home and I had the kids sit around the tree so I could get a picture of them. Then I got in some of the pictures too. We said our prayer and got the kids tucked into bed. Everyone was exhausted. So it didn't take them very long to go to sleep. Thank goodness, cause I was tired too. The kids all wanted their stockings in their rooms. We told them they could do their stockings but couldn't wake us up till after 7am. So that was the deal! Anyways, the kids were asleep so we did our Santa work. Then we were ready for bed.
