Christmas Day 2016!

The kids woke up around 5am, did their stockings and then fell asleep till 7am. Then they came up and woke us up at 7:02am. They are such good listeners!! Love my kids! Christmas ended up on a Sunday this year. Which, I really love. We have 1pm church. So we had lots of time to do our Christmas morning.

We came downstairs and the opening of presents commenced! Of course, we had super excited kids and I absolutely love watching their faces!! So fun! I really enjoyed getting my presents from my kids. It was so cute. They were so happy to give them to me! So sweet. Same with their dad too. So enjoy a lot of pictures of us opening presents!
The kids and Richard got me a big comfy blanket for my bed! I love it!!

Cadence was so happy to finally get her own jewellery box!

DJ got a BIG nerf gun! I think he likes it!

Oh look what Santa brought Abbi, her own pellet gun! She loves it!!

Brianna got a teddy bear and a Lego set!

DJ had to run upstairs and find his BIG stuffed monkey! He loves that thing!

Cadence was so happy to get a troll doll!

DJ got a pellet gun too!

An art, spray gun! She loves it!

DJ got an Oiler's jersey!

I got it super cheap cause Hall, no longer is on the Oiler's, but we won't tell DJ that!

Santa brought the kids a basketball game for all of them!

Then I put in the breakfast casserole that I put together the day before. It baked for about 45minutes. Then we had a delicious breakfast of orange juice with our breakfast casserole, which had hashbrowns, eggs and bacon in it, plus cheese. It was delicious. A huge hit with everyone.

Then we had a relaxing morning of watching some new movies that we got for Christmas. Plus the kids were playing with their new toys. I love Christmas mornings with my family. Simply the best. It was such an enjoyable Christmas!

Abbi trying out her new gun out our back door! Ha ha!!

DJ shooting his. This gun is something that he can load himself, his other one was pretty tough.

Then it was time to get ready for church. All the girls were so excited to wear their new Christmas dresses. They all looked so beautiful. Then there was DJ, who always looks so handsome in his suit. I had to get some pictures before we went to church.
Abbi and Cadence all ready for church. Abbi was actually smiling here.

Our kids all ready for church. Abbi likes to glare at me when I have the camera.

Then away we went. Since it was Christmas Day, we just had Sacrament meeting. It was perfect. I absolutely love Christmas Sacrament Meeting. Best ever. The spirit was so strong and it was an amazing way to remember the true meaning of Christmas. The music was perfect.

We then, came home and changed and packed up our stuff to take to my parents place. We were having Christmas dinner there. We got there and watched one of our new movies with them. Then Steve and Stacey came and we all sat down and ate. Oh I should mention that my mom surprised Richard and I with a new quilt that she made for our bed. It was beautiful and I love it! It was a fun evening with family! Then it was ready to come home. We went outside and it was freezing outside. SO so so so cold! I think it had dropped to -30. Which is kind of crazy. We got home and we all went to bed!

Christmas Eve 2016!!!

So Christmas Eve ended up on a Saturday this year. We got the house nice and clean and caught up on laundry in the morning, while Richard ran a few loads to the dump. Then we were ready to go to Cardston for the rest of the day. We were getting together with all the Spencer's at Richard's parents place.

My kids were all pretty excited about celebrating Christmas Eve with their cousins. We got there and they played for a bit then we got all ready and went to the hotel to go swimming. Grandma rented it again this year. They all had a blast. I opted out of swimming but watched for a bit and took some pictures!

Then we came back and helped get supper all ready and then we ate. It was a simple but delicious supper of taco potatoes! It was a relaxing evening with kids playing together and adults visiting. Lisa and Shelly made a game for the kids and adults to play. We had to unwrap a saran wrapped ball while another person is shaking 2 dice. When they get a double number then we pass the ball. There were lots of treats and toys through out the ball. The kids had a lot of fun. It was hilarious with the adults too!

DJ and Spencer playing on the Ipad together. These two are so cute together.

The girls got to do their own ball of saran. They had so much fun!

Then the boys had fun unwrapping their own too.

The kids all with their big, colorful punching balloons!
Then the kids were all excited to open their Christmas Eve presents. They always know what it is, but not exactly. I got them some jammies and a book each. They were all super excited and couldn't wait to go change into their new jammies. I got the girls some super soft pants with a shirt. DJ got a onsie piece.

Then we went downstairs so Grandma could pass out her presents to everyone. She worked so hard over the past 2 years on the girls' quilts. They all looked so amazing. She sure spoiled her grandkids! It was fun watching the kids open their presents and be so excited.

DJ opening his present from Grandma and Grandpa Spencer. It was a big blanket!

And a really cool looking Lego man light.

There's Jasmine with her blanket.

Ella with her beautiful blanket from Grandma.

Abbi was so excited to get her blanket. Grandma even put on her initials on the bottom of the blanket.

Brianna was super excited too. The blanket was perfect for her, with all the beautiful butterflies.

Cadence with her blanket. She loves it and was excited too!!

All the kids curled up in their blankets ready to watch a movie!
We headed home after the kids watched a movie for a bit and some of us played a game of rook. It was snowing pretty good on the way home. I loved it! We got home and I had the kids sit around the tree so I could get a picture of them. Then I got in some of the pictures too. We said our prayer and got the kids tucked into bed. Everyone was exhausted. So it didn't take them very long to go to sleep. Thank goodness, cause I was tired too. The kids all wanted their stockings in their rooms. We told them they could do their stockings but couldn't wake us up till after 7am. So that was the deal! Anyways, the kids were asleep so we did our Santa work. Then we were ready for bed.

My 4 cute kids all in their Christmas jammies!
