Playing Catch Up Again!!

I've been struggling with the blog this year. I really enjoy having our blog books, but this year its been hard to post regualarly. First off, my computer isn't always working and that's where my pictures are. So here I am again doing a catch up!!

1. My new calling is the Activity Day Leader. We have our activities every other week. I am over the 10 and 11 year olds. It's been a lot of fun. I have 10 girls in my class, so it's always a little crazy! One activity we made some yummy Halloween treats at my house. My girls were there too with the younger class. It was a lot of fun!

2. DJ got to spend the day with his Grandma Spencer back in October. She went in as the mommy helper and then we went to Lethbridge with her and she bought him a remote control cop car. He was in heaven. He had so much fun with his Grandma. He would play with that car every day. One day I came out in the garage and he had set up a work shop on his dad's table. I asked what he was doing and he replied, "I fixing my car mom!" It was super cute. He replaced the batteries all by himself!

He brought his tools up, but I gave him a real screw driver so he could take the cover off.

3. So I learned that you can't always put water bottles in the dishwasher. The girls bring theirs home every weekend and I wash them for Monday. Well I went to get them out and I couldn't figure out where Abbi's bottle was. Then I realized that her bottle shrunk. It was so funny. It didn't melt in a weird way but literally shrunk in size and was in the same shape as before. We all had a good laugh over it!

4. DJ and I went to the park on one warm afternoon. He had fun running around while I watched him. I have been driving bus a LOT lately. So sometimes he gets a little tired of always being on the bus. It was a fun afternoon. Then we had to get on the bus to go get the kids!!

5. Now that it's winter I've been shovelling snow in Lethbridge again. I do the north side in front of the mail boxes. DJ is almost always with me. One day he insisted on helping me. So I bought him a small shovel and he would get out at every other mail box. He was very serious and did a good job helping me. It was so cute! We were getting close to done and I went to open the door for him and he looked at me and told me he was too tired. He was beat! So I put his seat down and put a blanket around him and he went to sleep. This was in the morning. He slept for 1 1/2hrs. Crazy boy. I couldn't get him to wake up!

6. We have been going to Parent Pre-School and DJ loves it. On this same day that he fell asleep we had to be back for PPP. We got there and he was still sleeping. I had stopped in a drive through to get him lunch. I carried him inside and he finally woke up. He came into the mom's room to eat and then he was happy to go play. On the way home he insisted on walking. Then he asked for his shovel. He walked home and shovelled the sidewalk on his way. So funny! I just drove slowly on the road. He cracks me up!

7. My girls are all in choir together. They go every Wednesday after school. They performed for the first time at the Remembrance Day Program at the school. Richard and I and my mom all went to see them. They all did so good! I am so proud of them!

8. One night DJ insisted on me making a "nest" for him to sleep in. So I put his blankets into a big circle on his bed. He curled up in his "nest" and went to sleep. What a funny boy!

9. We have watched Keira a few times for Brent and Tiff. We had her for 3 days and 2 nights at one point. She is such a cutie and everyone loves it when she is here. We have so much fun with her. She did so good too! DJ was super sad when he came home from school to find that Keira was gone. He was not happy. Those two were cute together!

10. We went down to Kalispell for the long weekend. It was just nice to get away and be together as a family. We just hung out in our condo and did a lot of swimming. The kids found the craft center and they had fun making crafts. We went out for dinner on Sunday and just had a good time. The last night I checked on the kids and had to laugh at how the girls were sleeping it was super cute.

11. About a month ago Richard and I went on a date one Friday night. We were planning to go into Lethbridge but plans changed. Richard really wanted to go shooting with the Scouts at a farm in Spring Coulee. So I went too. It was actually a lot of fun. We shot for hours. My arm was pretty sore afterwards and I ended up with a huge bruise on my right arm!! Then we drove into Cardston and had supper together and then came back home. It was a fun date!

12. I went to the dentist to get my teeth cleaned and DJ came with me. It took a lot longer then I thought it would. He was such a trooper and waited for me in the waiting room while he played on my ipad! After we went to Costco and I let him walk around and look at all the toys. He fell in love with a motor bike and car!

13. I have been driving bus a lot. When I do, it`s usually all day. DJ has come with me a lot. It`s been ok because when I take kids swimming, DJ and I go swimming too. He loves that. The only thing is, when he gets back on the bus he is done. Sound asleep. He cracks me up. One time I couldn`t wake him up! Silly boy!
