Kindergarten Graduation!

Last Friday was my girls Kindergarten Graduation. Too say that they were excited is totally an understatement. It was the easiest day to get them ready for school! I got them to school at the normal time. Then I came home and got ready and then Richard, DJ and I went back to the school and found a place to sit in the gym. All the kids were sitting up from in their cap and gowns. I ran up and got a few pictures of my cute girls before it started.
These are the 2 morning Kindergarten classes. Abbi is the middle on the top row. Brianna is the 3rd from the left on the middle row and Cadence is 2 girls over from Brianna, just below Abbi.

Now truthfully, I didn't cry in September when my girls went to school. I was excited, because they were so excited. But coming to this graduation, it just hit me that they are getting older and it made me all misty eyed. I really had to fight the tears! Especially when the kids sang this really cute graduation song for the parents. Then each child brought a rose to their mom's. So, of course, I got 3 roses. They were so happy to be there and so proud to bring me a rose. It was so cute.
Here comes Brianna with my rose.

Cadence almost came running too me. Luckily my picture still worked out. Look at that cute smile!

Abbi bringing me my rose. Doesn't she looked so grown up in her outfit!

Cute, fireman, DJ holding all the roses!

Then they sang us another song. So cute. Afterwards we watched a little slideshow presentation with all the pictures from the school year. It was very cute. Then the principal, Mr. Sabey, got up and called each graduate up to get their certificate.
My girls singing the grade 1 song with their class. You can see Abbi and then Cadence right below and then Brianna is to the left of Cadence.

Our 3 really cute kindergarten graduates!!!

Our cute little family!

It was a short but very cute graduation. The best kind ever. Then we took a bunch of pictures of our 3 big girls. They got a little grad gift from their teachers and their packet, which included the little 2012 tassle. So fun to keep.
Abbi showing us her little present and a graduation cupcake they all got.
Brianna posing for me. I got them these new outfits for this. I think they look so cute!
Cute, cute Cadence with her little grad gift and cupcake!

I loved this picture of Cadence and DJ. He wanted to be a part of all the pictures! He insisted on wearing his fireman coat and his boots with his hat. What a boy!
Our four cute, cute, kids! Getting so big!

I wanted one more shot of all the girls together. This is what I got. Pretty cute!

They are now officially finished kindergarten. Too crazy. My girls will be in Grade 1 in the fall and going to school all day too. I'm a little sad. DJ and I are sure going to miss having them around. It will take some getting used too. But now we will concentrate on having fun this summer.

Kindergarten Party!

Last Wednesday was the girls Kindergarten party. They were very excited for it. It was for all the classes together. I signed up to be a parent helper. Well we woke up Wednesday morning to pouring rain. They were having it at the church campground site, with the water slide. My girls still wanted to wear their swim suits underneath their clothes. I kept telling them that they probably wouldn't be going down the slide. Oh well, they went prepared, just in case!

I dropped them off at school, then hurried home to finish getting ready. DJ was going over to play at Keaton's house. At first he didn't want too. But then I packed up a yummy snack for him and Keaton to share. Then he was excited to go over. We got there and I helped Renee set up a tent in her living room. The boys were super excited about it! So I left DJ there very happy.

I got to the campground, while it was still pouring rain. They decided to do it in the big camp kitchen. We waited till the kids got there, all 60 of them. To say it was a little crazy in there is an understatement!! But the kids had a blast. They set up 3 stations and split the kids up in their classes. They took turns at each station. I helped at the craft station, where they colored and cut and glued together a ice cream cone dude!
Brianna took her time and had to make sure everything was perfect. She loves to make things. Her teacher said in her final report card that we might have an artist on our hands!

Cadence with her finished product. She has fun interacting and laughing with the other kids too!

Abbi with her ice cream dude!

Then they moved on to the music station. That`s where Mrs. Wilde had some fun songs and games going. It was fun to watch my girls get so into it! I got some cute pictures of them singing and running around! Mrs. Wilde is so good with the songs, and gets the kids to excited about singing the songs.
Cadence playing a game with Wyatt!

Abbi playing sticks with Bryn.

Abbi and Brianna ready to run the relay race. Cadence is over in the far line where the teacher is standing.

After that they moved to the snack station. Where they all got to sit down and eat their snacks that they brought. After they ate they all got a creamsicle. All in all it was a fun party.
My cute girls eating their creamsicles! As you can see Brianna and Abbi are wearing their swim shirts, Cadence has hers on underneath her shirt. Funny girls!

My girls with a bunch of kids from their class. From l-r, Megan, Jack, Tai, Brianna, Abbi, Cadnece, Micah, Dack (back of his head) and Kaden (with blue popsicle).

All lined up ready to get back on the bus. They sure had fun!

I stayed after the kids went back to the school on the bus, to help clean up. With all the craziness going on, we only lost one kid! The poor girl got locked outside when she went to the bathroom. I noticed an empty spot at the craft table and started asking around who we were missing. We finally figured it out and started looking for her. We found her outside crying and hitting the door. It was so noisy inside that we didn`t hear her. Oh, I felt so bad. Luckily she`s a happy kid and was fine once she got a hug from her teacher.

It was a fun party. The girls couldn't stop talking about it. So I guess even with the rain that it was a hit. On Thursday they went to school and cleaned out their cubby holes and brought EVERYTHING home! I can't believe Kindergarten is over. Now to have some fun during the summer. I'm very excited for summer this year. We have our trailer parked down at Echo lake and we've already been down there 3 times. My kids love it. I think we'll be spending a lot of time down there this summer. It will be a lot of fun!

Ten On Thursday!

I just read last Thursdays post and realized I only did 9. Oops!! Oh well! So I will make sure I do ten today.

1. Still regretting the fact that I jumped on the tramp last week. I have been in so much pain. Sheesh!! Hate the fact that I am getting old and can't do the crazy things I always did before. I sprained my lower back, plus am all out of line too. So that's been fun!!

2. I can't take strong pills of ANY kind. I took a prescribed muscle relaxant pill last night and it did crazy things to me. Richard thought I was crazy. No, he was really concerned and kept asking me to just close my eyes and go to sleep. Ha ha ha! We were talking about how the girls only have 2 days left of Kindergarten and I started crying, not your normal crying, but sobbing. Then I was sobbing about everything. Then I realized I was sounding crazy, so I started laughing and crying at the same time. I cryed and laughed myself to sleep! I woke up with really dry, crusty eyes! Sheesh, I am crazy!

3. The girls graduate from Kindergarten tomorrow!! So crazy! I can't believe how big they are getting. I love to see how independent they are. But they are also so good at helping each other. I also love that they aren't afraid to hug or kiss me in public yet. I dropped them off today and as they were walking away, Cadence turned and blew me a kids, then Abbi turned and blew me a kiss too! Brianna came flying back because she forgot her back pack and she said, "Bye mom, I hope you and DJ have a really fun morning all by yourselves." Ha ha ha, love them!

4. Read the book, "Heaven is Here", by Stephanie Neilson and loved it. What a great book. It's an amazing true story of how she survived a plane crash. I couldn't put it down once I started. I recommend it to anyone.

5. Just got back from Zumba, and loved it!!! I'm back on a health kick, trying to eat healthier and stay fit. So far so good.

6. Kids say funny things. Lately whenever I do something for DJ he says, "Thanks mum", or if it's something that makes him really happy he says, "Thanks much!" So funny! Abbi totally embarrassed me the other day. I brought in a new babysitter, whose older sister babysat for the kids a few times. The babysitter said, "Hey girls my sister says hi, she misses you guys." Abbi replies, "Oh we don't like her she was too mean." I was shocked and told Abbi to be nice. She then says, "But mom you said she was mean too." Oops, guess I should be more careful. This babysitter did take the whole discipline thing way too far though. It was so embarrassing!

7. Had a crazy storm the other night. We were running around frantically trying to pick up all our outside toys so they wouldn't blow away. I hurried and cleaned the garage so I could pull the burb in, in case it hailed. They had a tornado watch out, which scared the girls. They were all freaked out. I was going to get a babysitter that night so I could go to zumba, but I stayed home with them because they were so scared.

8. DJ has been sleeping so good lately. Doesn't fight me putting him to bed anymore and sleeps till 7-7:30am every morning. That's with going to be at around 7-7:30pm at night. It's been wonderful. He's finally over his horrible virus he had forever, which has helped with him sleeping better. He's stopped having his naps at crazy times during the day. So glad he's feeling better.

9. When I was around 13-14yrs old, I worked for my dad during the summer. When he wasn't around, I was in charge of moving all the irrigation. We had a lot of lines to move. I loved it, because I got to ride the motor bike out to the pump. On really hot days I would kick off my boots and go barefoot in the mud. I remember it feeling so nice and cool! Then I would stick my muddy feet back into my boots!! Ha ha ha! I remember getting the worse boot rash around my legs, because I never wore socks and always had shorts on. Oh to be young and carefree!!

10,  Love how quiet my house is and how clean. I can just sit here and relax!!

Ten On Friday!

So here it goes, ten on Friday!!

1. Shopping with kids can always be an adventure. Some days, no problem at all and others, I'm ready to pull my hair out! I try to be pretty easy going with the kids when we shop. I have them help me pick things off the shelf, push the cart and unload the cart. I've had times where one or two kids are screaming, but we just keep walking and they follow behind us, screaming the heads off. Oh the joys!
Here's DJ walking out of Walmart with me. He walked around the store with the bucket on his head too. Funny boy!

Richard had to do some shopping at Sears in Kalispell (really small store), so this is what the kids did to entertain themselves! I thought it was so cute. They were playing pretend and jumping up and switching tractors too.

2. I love how different each of my girls are. It's so funny to see what they decided to wear sometimes. Totally cracks me up! One day we went for a walk with Renee and her boys. She was laughing at what Cadence and Abbi were wearing. I didn't even notice. I looked and had to take a picture. It was so funny. Cadence with her fairy wings, and Abbi with shorts and cowboy boots. Funny girls!
Oh and both girls were wearing their swimsuits with pants over top! There's Abbi with her cowboy boots and Cadence with her tight black pants and fairy wings!

My cute girls!

3. Picnic in the park is the best! We've done it a few times with Renee and her boys. So fun to watch them run around and play so good together. It's the best way to pass the afternoon. Love it!
Richard came and met us at the park one evening. The kids were excited for their dad to push them on the merry go round.

Keaton is on top watching Abbi and DJ (in the tunnel) going through the tunnel.

Brianna, Abbi, Keaton, Lincoln and Cadence at a cool new park in Lethbridge. DJ was refusing to be apart of the picture!

4. Love watching DJ play with his dad. It's so cute to watch. Last weekend Richard, DJ and I went back to Echo Lake to do a few things. We were there one night. DJ loved having all our attention and it was fun to watch him be so excited. It was a quick trip, but we had a good time. DJ has asked me a few times when we're going back to the trailer. I think we're going to have fun this summer!
This picture shows that they are both on the move! They were playing soccer together, while we were camping.

We walked down to the dock to watch the sunset and this is how they were sitting. So cute!

5. Four more days left of school for my girls! YEAH!! Very excited about that. It'll be nice to relax and enjoy our time together.

6. Was jumping on our tramp and showing the kids how to bounce on my back and then land on my feet. They were all amazed and asked me to do it again. So I jumped even higher this time and when I bounced on my back I hit the ground (our matt is really bouncy!), right on my butt. I totally bruised my bum and it really hurts! Sheesh, I have to remember that I'm getting old! Ha ha!

7. Planted our garden. Excited to see if anything grows. The kids are very excited and I'm sure I'll have lots of help watering and weeding it this summer. They love helping me in the garden.

8. Our mornings are always a little crazy and we don't always eat breakfast at the same time. I have the kids come eat as they wake up and then they go get dressed. We say prayer just before Richard takes off for work. So when I walked in the kitchen and saw everyone eating breakfast together I had to take a picture.
DJ just barely woke up and was sitting with his dad and eating with him. Cute picture of our busy mornings!

9. Had our last IPP meeting about Cadence with her teacher, Speech Therapist and Speech aide. This time I was smart and brought Richard with me. So glad I did. They are always crazy meetings and I usually am a little bit upset when I leave. This time it went well. Some of the things they say really annoy me because I know it's wrong. Anyways, we know what to work on with Cadence this summer. So glad that she is such a happy kid and loves school.
