More Fun In July!

I love having my new camera! I take a lot of pictures. So this is me, still trying to catch up. So I thought I'd just do a list of some of the things we did in July.

1. Richard's Birthday!! Can't forget that one. We had a busy week before. So on his birthday, which happened to be a Monday, the kids and I ran into Lethbridge to do some shopping. I honestly had no clue of what to get him. We did get him a yummy DQ cake. It happened to be camo too! Bonus!! Ha ha! Abbi really wanted to get him a lizard. But really I think she just wanted to have a lizard. Ha ha! I thought that it was pretty funny! We got him a few things and headed back home. He was there when we got home. So we took him to the golf course and we all went to the driving range. That was fun! I think he enjoyed hitting some balls and showing the kids how to properly swing! Then we came home and he opened his gifts (the kids couldn't wait!)! Then I made supper and then we had cake with him! Glad he had a good day! He's a pretty great guy!!
His cool camo cake!

Oh so happy!! Ha ha!

2. DJ has a hard time getting ready for church on most Sundays. It's been a crazy routine that happened Sunday mornings. He would cry and get mad and refuse to get ready. I would usually end up getting after him and get him dressed and drag him to the car (Ok maybe not drag but you get the idea). So one Sunday I told him if he got all ready then he could go up to our closet and pick one of his dads ties out. Well that did the trick. He was so excited. It was super cute watching Richard help DJ put his tie on. I loved it!

Love these pictures....so cute!!! DJ's turkey tails and all!

Our handsome little boy!!

3. We had a huge down pour one weekend. It rained all Friday. Since we have no grass at all by our back entrance, it turns into a HUGE mud hole. Well that Friday, Richard told me to come out there. So I put on my boots and walked out. He then proceeded to throw mud at me and I, of course, tried to get him back. We both ended up all muddy! It was freezing cold, but so much fun. I was running after him trying to get him and ended up slipping and doing a face plant in a huge mud hole. I had mud everywhere. Well the kids heard us and opened up the door and Leia flew threw the door and jumped up on our couch. I was yelling at her to get down. She then raced around the house. I finally ran after her (I was just as muddy as she was), and grabbed her and pulled her outside. Well there was mud all over in the house. Good thing we have cement floors and a leather couch. It was a quick clean up!! Ha ha! Anyways, on Monday it was nice out but still lots of mud down by the door. So Abbi and her friend, Taylor had a blast playing in the mud. I didn't get any pictures of Richard and I being all muddy but I did of Taylor and Abbi! I had to laugh at them. They had so much fun! Then I told them to go jump in the creek to clean off. So they did! Perfect solution!

Ha ha....they were having so much fun!!!

Belly flops!!!

They were all muddy!

4. Shelly and Eric had Seth, Jazzi and Spencer for half a week and they decided to come camp at our house. So we got the trailer all set up for them and pulled it right by the garage. They all slept in the railer. It was fun having them right there. All the kids had a blast playing together. I didn't take too many pictures, but we did take them floating down the canal and bridge jumping too! Then when we got back I showed the kids how to shoot a bow and arrow. So we lined them all up and they all took turns. We were being super careful and they had a blast!!
Having lunch by the trailer!

Grandma was handing out food through the door. DJ was calling it a drive through! Too funny!

Seth loved shooting the bow and arrow!

Abbi taking aim!

And there goes the arrow!!

Spencer thought he was so BIG, shooting the bow and arrow!

Cool shot of the arrow flying!

5. I went to Young Women's Camp in July. It was a 4 day camp. Truthfully I was not looking forward to 4 days. It seemed kind of long to me. We met at the church at 2pm on Wed afternoon. It was scorching hot out!! We all drove out to Police Lake and started setting up camp. The girls all took a tent and away they went. I was so impressed at how hard the girls worked. We all our tents set up and then got the food into the camp kitchen and set up the stoves. It was a fun camp. Richard came for the first night. He set up the Archery and the girls had a blast doing that. Then we went hiking on Thursday up to Wall Lake. It was so hot out, but it was a good hike. Then on Friday we did all our certification in the morning and then went swimming in the lake and at the creek. It was fun. Then we had the fireside Friday night. We ended up staying up really late that night! Ha ha!! Then we packed up Saturday morning and headed home. It was a fun camp. All the girls did awesome and were huge helps!!
My own Robin Hood!! ha ha!

We had the Roth's and Shaw's come for the last night. They brought a whole bunch of glow sticks for the girls.

This is Saturday morning. We did our morning side before we left.

This is an awesome group of girls!
