January 1st, 2016!!

Since we stayed the night at my mom and dad`s it was a pretty low key day when we woke up. We got ready for the day and the kids were ready to go outside and play in the snow. It was super windy the day before but it was absolutely beautiful on the 1st. The sun was out and there was not a breath of wind!! Ha ha!!!

So away we went! David went and got the quad and I took the kids over to the ditch and showed them how to sled down. Well DJ decided he was going to snow board down on his sled. He`d stand on it and go down. He loved doing that and he got really good at it too!

David came by with the quad and the girls jumped onto the sled behind him. He pulled them around for hours. They all had so much fun!! It was a fun morning!

We had dinner around 2pm. Like I said before, it was a really low key day! I loved it!! When the kids came in their cheeks were nice and red.....so cute!!! We then hung around and talked and watched the kids play. Emmett and Keira kept us entertained!! So funny! We didn't stay too late. We came home so we could go to bed at a decent time! It was a fun day!

New Years Eve!

So for New Years Eve we decided to go over to my parents house and stay the night. A lot of people were planning on being there so we decided to party together! I'm glad we did. Makes it more fun to party with others! Ha ha!!

We all brought finger food and appetizers and that's what we had for supper. We got to mom's and started cooking everything and getting the food out. Then we had everyone come up and we said prayer and everyone loaded up their plates with whatever they wanted!

Afterwards, we turned on a movie and got some games going. We brought some games that the kids could play with us too. Plus David and Jill brought a game called "Pie Face". Of course that was a huge hit! It was hilarious. We were all laughing so hard. So here are some pictures of us playing games!

Then we did an early New Years Eve for all the kids. It was just after 10pm. My kids were so tired......we`ve had some late nights almost every night and it was catching up on all of us! They were excited to do the count down. We did one of the fun count downs on Netflix and then we ran outside and lit some sparklers and yelled Happy New Year!! They thought that was fun.

Then to bed they went. I wish I could say they all fell asleep so fast....but no! Crazy kids. They finally went to sleep. We kept playing games. I was reading a book downstairs while the kids were going to sleep. The guys were playing a crazy game downstairs too!

Then it was time for us to ring in the New Year. We counted down and yelled Happy New Year. And David, Jill and Tiff each had a bottle of the fancy sparkling juices and were trying to pop off the corks. It was hilarious!! I got some awesome pictures of them doing it! Ha ha!! Then we hall toasted each other with a glass!! So fun.

Then we headed outside and lit ALL the sparklers and Tiff and Jill ran around the yard with the sparklers. They are a little crazy! Which makes it fun! Ha ha!! So much fun! After that lots went to bed and the rest of us played another game. I finally called it a night around 1am. I was exhausted!!

A Winter Picnic!

On New Years Eve day Cody had the idea to do a winter picnic. We were going to go to Waterton but then decided to do it closer to home. So we invited everyone out to our place. Richard got a big fire going where we could roast our hotdogs. The girls and I made a hot chocolate station. We had hot chocolate in our big water cooler and had crushed mint chocolates, crushed candy canes and whip cream! Yum!! It was delicious hot chocolate if I do say so myself! Ha ha!!

Anyways, Cody and Em and their kids came, Cam, Kim and Ari, David and Jill, Tiffani and her 2 kids. We were super excited!! The only down side was it was a bit windy out. But by the fire it was pretty protected! So that's good! Everyone came out to the fire and we started eating!

After we finished eating some of us went to go sledding. We just did it on the hill by our house and then over on the hill in the field. It was a lot of fun. There were a few crazy wipe outs but every one made it out! Ha ha!!

It was really windy out when we were trying to sled. We did it for a bit then came back to the house to warm up and have more hot chocolate. Then we sat around and visited while the kids played. It was so much fun! Good idea Cody......we all had a blast!
