Ward Camp Out!!!

The middle of June we had a ward campout. Well kind of! That's what they called it but it was more like a ward fun night! Cause we were the only ones that took advantage of the campground and brought our trailer, along with Justin and Tennille. We were the only ones that slept there. It was a lot of fun!

Anyways, we got there in the afternoon so the kids could play on the big water slide. It was a really hot day, perfect for water sliding! The girls had a blast on it. DJ wasn't interested in going on it! But the girls kept going up and down over and over. They had fun with the other kids there too!

DJ had fun running around on the hill and playing. Ethan was there too and had fun running after DJ! Cute boys!! Rhonda Murphy, the Primary President, brought a bunch of activities for the kids to play. One of them was kites. DJ thought that was great. He flew his kite for a LONG time!! The girls had fun flying kites too! Ethan had fun too! There were a few other activities too!

I was there early to help set things up and get things ready. I also helped to make sure there was enough food for everyone. Then I was finally able to get my own plate of food and sit down and eat! Yay!! I was exhausted and was glad to sit and eat! After dinner, there was dessert which the kids loved. DJ was into the ice cream cones! Ha ha!!

Then everyone started cleaning up and leaving. This is where we were the only ones that stayed behind. We decided to stay! It was about 8:30 by the time everyone left. It was fun to be the only ones there. The kids got to keep the kites so they were excited to fly them. But first we started a fire and roasted some marshmellows.

Then the kids took off and were running around on the grassy hill flying their kites while the sun was setting. It was so cool. I got the best pictures ever! I had fun following them around taking pictures. They were in heaven flying their kites. It was such a fun night! So glad we decided to stay.

In the morning we woke up and made a big yummy breakfast. We ate with Justin and Tennille and then we started getting ready to leave. The kids were running around. They found a dirt hill covered with a tarp and started taking it off. They found it was a hot spot for gardner snakes. Gross! We didn't actually see a live snake but a WHOLE bunch of snake skins. Shudder. So yucky! Ha ha! The kids thought it was awesome!

So that was our fun little camping adventure down at the Magrath Stake Campground!
