Paxman's Early Christmas and Christmas Eve!

The Paxman's had an early Christmas on December 23. That way everyone could be there (minus Shelley and Travis and David). We had a steak dinner and it was very yummy. We were all excited to see Steve and Stacey and their kids. My kids were so excited and had fun playing with their cousins. Grandpa Pitcher was there too. It was a very full house, but it made it so fun. After we ate and cleaned up we got out the cake to celebrate Megan's birthday. She's a Christmas Day baby, but we decided to celebrate with her while everyone is there.

Then we went to the living room and sat around and exchanged gifts. It's fun to watch mom and dad open the gifts from everyone. I really enjoy that. Oh, I should mention that I bought a Mickey Mouse Christmas movie and put it on for the kids. So they were all watching that while the adults were exchanging gifts. A lot less crazier! Then when we were ready for the kids, they came up and got their gift from Grandma and Grandpa Paxman.

It was a fun evening to sit around visit and laugh! We tried really hard to get Cody and Emily to tell us what they were having. They found out a while a go, but haven`t told anyone. We were all giving them our guesses. I totally guess that they are having a boy! I have some good reasons to back it up too! But, darn that Cody, he won`t tell us! I even tried to ask Ali and Mary, but they don`t know either! Oh we will get it from them somehow! ha ha ha! We didn`t get home that night till after 10pm. Good thing DJ had a nap earlier that day. The girls were exhausted and went straight to sleep.

On Saturday, Christmas Eve, we all slept in till 8:30pm. So nice! I finished cleaning the house and packing the burb to take stuff to Cardston. Then we were out of here by 11am. The kids were so excited for Christmas Eve. We got to Richard`s parents house and had some snacky stuff for lunch. Then Curtis and Mandy and their kids got there and Shelly got the gingerbread houses out and we went to work! The kids had fun, but they were all a big sticky mess by the time we were done!

We divided up into 3 groups. Grandma helped Abbi and DJ, I helped Brianna, Ella and Declan and Mandy helped Kyle and Cadence.

After that we all went downstairs where Shelly and Eric had turned it into a theater for the kids. They had a projector and put a big white sheet on the wall. They gave each of the grandkids their gift and had them open them. They had gotten them each a pet pillow and a blanket. All the kids were SO EXCITED!!! My kids have been asking for a pet pillow for a long time! They all snuggled down on the floor with their pillows and blankets and we watched, ``Mr. Poppers Penguins`, a very funny movie! We ate popcorn too! It was a fun relaxing afternoon. All the kids loved it and had a blast!

After the movie, the kids played some Christmas games with their grandma. Then we decided to have everyone open their Christmas Eve gift. Which, of course, is jammies and a book. So the kids did and then they went and changed into their jammies. They all loved their jammies and books. We had to sit down and read a few stories right then!

We then went over to Grandma and Grandpa Spencer`s for dinner. We had pork on a bun with stuffing and cranberries. It was very yummy. Grandma had a name for it, but I can`t remember what it is. But whatever it was, it was delicious! We all had to pop our poppers too! The kids thought it was great and all wore their hats.
